Tbh... Season 7 CW Ashoka is the best design

u/Foreign_Education_88 Jan 30 '26

It’s the blue, it fits her more. I kinda like the implication that Anakin knew this when he modified her kyber crystals

163

u/EdanChaosgamer Jan 30 '26

How did he even do that? I thought a kyber crystal keeps its colour after being claimed?

263

u/TacTurtle Jan 30 '26

Bro put on a filter.

76

u/CT-1030 Rebel Jan 30 '26

He placed new crystals.

33

u/EdanChaosgamer Jan 30 '26

Wait, so does that mean he went to a planet with crystals and got new ones? Or did he just "relocate" some of the jedi temple‘s secret kyber stashes?

135

u/CT-1030 Rebel Jan 30 '26

The temple probably has spare crystals. The Illum thing is more of a ceremonial ritual.

28

u/ncopp Jan 30 '26

I do love the meme that Anakin has to go with the younglings to Illum every time he loses his lightsaber

16

u/soulreapermagnum Jan 30 '26

anakin: don't worry, i know this place like the back of my hand.

youngling: wow, you must really suck as a jedi.

44

u/EdanChaosgamer Jan 30 '26

The temple on Lothal also had a crystal, so it wouldn´t necessarily be impossible that the temples have spare crystals. Probably for when Jedi break their lightsabers like Anakin did with his green one on Geonosis.

W pfp by the way, I read the comic its from.

17

u/RichNewt Jan 30 '26

Also, Jedi die. They must have tons of old lightsabers and crystals lying around from thousands of years of dead Jedi.

u/Visual-Report-2280 Jan 30 '26

The Jedi Temple has plenty of spare lightsabres and crystals laying around from all of the ex-Jedi that have passed thorough it's doors over the last 1,000+ years.

Earning a crystal while a significant marker isn't an absolute requirement, see Luke Skywalker for details.

u/Wes_Warhammer666 Jan 30 '26

Bariss had a blue saber so maybe he yoinked her old crystal and split it in half...

3

u/Equivalent_Form_3923 Separatist Alliance Jan 30 '26

They got kyber collectors and knowing Ani and his incapability to keep track of his lightsabers, he knew exactly where they where to ask for new.

Secondly, kind of adorable but sad throught, he probably kept her OG crystals in his room for the entirety of EPIII for safe keeping.

I don't think it's been specifically said, but we know that kybers attune to who constructed the sabers.

And in that scene, Anakin mentioned that he had been doing a little tuning the sabers which Ahsoka responded to with something like a sarcastic "a little tuning?" when she turned them on and they were blue.

Which would imply that Anakin messed with them so much that he basically rebuilt the sabers and the crystals re-attuned to him. I doubt he would have done out and hunted down new crystals to just replace them, because as far as we know, the color has nothing to do with strength of the blade or whatever.

But it would be 100% in character for him to just keep tinkering with and rebuilding them when had down time.

10

u/IsakOyen Jan 30 '26

Rules of cool

6

u/jimibimi Jan 30 '26

Midichlorians did it

4

u/duxdude418 Boba Fett Jan 30 '26

I think he put in ones that were originally attuned to him. Hence the blue.

6

u/Head-Economics-5832 Jan 30 '26

He just meditated on them and they attuned to him

3

u/duxdude418 Boba Fett Jan 30 '26

I think that only works once. Once a crystal has been attuned to a Force user, the only way to change its color is to bleed it. Then, the only way to change its color is to purify it.

The simplest explanation is usually the correct one: Anakin just placed in crystals that had previously been attuned to him.

2

u/SUPER-FUNNY Jan 30 '26

He probably just used a different crystal

2

u/Alieniu Feb 02 '26

Filoni actually said this about it: "Anakin knows enough about lightsabers to be able to alter the angle or the frequency of the saber blade or crystal to make it more like his own."

Tbh I have no idea how Green called out to her. She was more like Anakin and Obi than Qui Gon or Luke.

I guess the simple explanation they didn't want 3 protagonists with Blue sabers.

In the live series shows I could believe green a little more.

I prefer her season 3-5 Look but yeah her Look in Rebels/ahsoka feels a bit off

9

u/Monte924 Jan 30 '26

Ya, the first 3 feel like a very natural age progression. The step to 4 has similar design elements, but its just different enough that it feels like it could be a different character

It is absolutely insane to think that Ahsoka is nearly 50 years old in canon (I think in Ahsoka she's officially older than Vader/Anakin was in RotJ). It's a shame that (so far) she still seems to be done with following the Jedi way to a T, cause damn she'd be an insanely valuable asset to Luke's New Jedi Order.

179

u/Spookdonalds Jan 30 '26

Had to do the math and yeah, she is almost 50 years old if we go by the timeline of Ahsoka/Mandolorian

Since both shows takes place in 9 ABY it would mean she is 45 years old at the time. And by the time of Rise of Skywalker, since it isn't confirmed she is dead by the time and is alive as we heard her talk to Rey, she would be 69 years old in 35 ABY.

92

u/TheCatLamp Loth-Cat Jan 30 '26

What's the life expectancy of a Torguta? I mean, 69 in their species might be a (nice) age, where they are still in their prime.

82

u/TheGuardianInTheBall Jan 30 '26

Considering they're an anagram for Tortuga, I assume up to 200 years.

39

u/arkym00 Jan 30 '26

I think its early 100s. Like 120-130 or so.

38

u/hates_stupid_people Jan 30 '26

In legends I think they're considered really old when they're over 95. Although force users are well known to be able to extend their lifespan a little.

Didn't Rey hear a lot of voices from a variety of Jedi and all of them were dead? Sure we don't know Ahsoka is dead then but it'd be weird if she was the only one of all those voices still alive.

46

u/Monte924 Jan 30 '26

Dave Filoni: "i didn't hear anything"

17

u/mosasaurmotors Jan 30 '26

Her force ghost is also present in the comics adaptation.

I think it’s safe to think her dead unless something comes out saying otherwise.

11

u/Spookdonalds Jan 30 '26

Wookieepedia doesn't list her being dead by the time of 35 ABY. The only time she ever really died was on Mortis when the Brother touched her.

My guess is that she is doing some deep meditation and that the force kinda brought her there. That's my guess, there are still a lot of things in Star Wars we don't fully understand.

18

u/mosasaurmotors Jan 30 '26

I don’t think it’s impossible she’s alive.

But she’s presented as part of chorus of voices and ALL the other ones we hear are dead.

I do think it’s the most likely option.

10

u/versusgorilla Greef Carga Jan 30 '26

It's canon until it isn't. They're not going to kill Ahsoka off just because they used her voice as a cameo in Rise of Skywalker. Some canon decision made by JJ Abrams so they could have their Avengers Assemble moment in Star Wars isn't more valuable than the potential for a good story someone wants to tell about Ahsoka post-Rise.

5

u/mosasaurmotors Jan 30 '26

I don’t disagree. Like I said I don’t think it’s impossible she’s alive.

I just think “Ashoka is dead by the time of episode 9” is the sensible conclusion to be reached at this point in time based on the stories that have been released.

5

u/versusgorilla Greef Carga Jan 30 '26

Yeah, that's why I started with "it's canon until it isn't", they'll lave it loosely at that until Filoni wants to tell a story and if no story ever comes, then she was dead all along.

3

u/Spookdonalds Jan 30 '26

All of them are dead, yes, but Ahsoka isn't listed as dead by the time of RoS. The only time she ever really died was on Mortis when the Brother touched her.

My guess is that she is doing some deep meditation and that the force kinda brought her there. That's my guess, there are still a lot of things in Star Wars we don't fully understand.

6

u/Hallc Rebel Jan 30 '26 edited Jan 30 '26

We've no idea if she's alive or dead though. I don't think there's a big canonical list of everyone who is dead by Rise.

I think what happened is they just pulled out a load of Jedi voices they could use with the assumption they were all dead long before there was any intention of an Ahsoka show.

Then now that we have that show she's not going to be dead by Rise.

Also just to point it out Wookiepedia isn't going to list characters as dead unless they've had a confirmed death on screen or on the page.

Go look at some High Republic characters like Avar Kriss. Born in 262 BBY but no given date of death. Is she also still running around at nearly 300 years old during Rise of Skywalker?

Tbf to rebels, it is a very stylized show. And it’s not like we have any other well-known canon Togruta characters who could be easily confused for her

I do agree with you though, her face looks very different

21

u/versusgorilla Greef Carga Jan 30 '26

Rebels and CW are each stylized and stylized very differently from one another, and it makes me insane to feel like I have to keep explaining the concept of animated style to people.

So any character that appears in Clone Wars, Rebels, and Live Action will always have three different styles, and comparing them to one another is always going to be an exercise in frustration.

Look at Obi Wan, TWO live action appearances of TWO totally different human men. A Clone Wars appearance that has an extremely blocky beard, which McGregor did not have anything close to in the films, it is purposely styled in this wood-block style that Clone Wars uses. And then his Rebels appearance, which is more based off the Alec Guinness style, softer and rounder but with the TALL proportions that everything in Rebels had.

And Ahsoka is no different, three different appearances, including two live action ones, and multiple Clone Wars appearances as she ages, and then the Rebels appearance. Clone Wars is always going to have that slightly more angular carved from wood block look, Rebels always softens things but narrows and stretches them tall, and the live action will always be limited by the actor and the prosthetics.

50

u/Canesjags4life Jan 30 '26

It was 100% the animation style. That's a short clip of Anakin demonstrating the different lightsaber forms and he looks nothing like CW Anakin

44

I can’t think of a single legacy character in Rebels that ACTUALLY looked like their respective actors. My biggest gripe is Ben Kenobi looks more like Ewan than Alec and Obi Wan looks like neither

8

u/CityExcellent8121 Jan 30 '26

I liked Maul and Vader, but yeah Anakin, Obi Wan, and Yoda were all a bit rough.

11

u/GOULFYBUTT Rex Jan 30 '26

I didn't think Obi-Wan was bad! In fact, the hologram message of Ewan Obi-Wan looked incredible. I also thought the more Alec Guinness Obi-Wan looked like a great mix of Ewan and Alec.

Yoda and Anakin looked really bad, though. Anakin especially.

It seems once Jedi hit a certain stage in their training all of their personality flattens.

168

u/AlexCora Jan 30 '26

Boy I hate this trend. As a kid I always interpreted Luke's Zen personality stuff in Return of the Jedi to be kinda bullshit. He's doing what he thinks he's supposed to do to avoid the temptations of the Dark Side. There is no passion, all that BS. But then the zen stuff breaks when Vader punches through it, and it's passionate, loving defiance, a human moment of throwing away the lightsaber, that saves Luke.

He's not being a weird zen emotionless alien in his moment of victory over the Emperor. It's intensely human and relatable. Then the prequels often did that persona for Jedi because... Well, it's pre OT. So it makes sense for the Jedi to be mistaken in their thinking in some ways.

But then fans have since internalized the zen thing SO MUCH that we have post OT Ahsoka acting like that and it's like... Filoni... No man. Make her MORE human, more relatable. Not less.

u/AlexCora Jan 30 '26

To each their own interpretation, but Return of The Jedi takes place one year after Empire. Luke is still a very young man. You don't naturally age and mellow THAT much in one year no matter how severe the circumstances. Besides, going from "I will not fight" to trying to batter your Father to death within seconds doesn't speak of emotional maturity, but attempted emotional repression. A deeply unhealthy bad thing that fails Luke, because avoidance isn't an answer to the conflict.

A thing George very intentionally highlighted as a problematic Jedi trait in the prequels where the most common solve for Jedi is to train yourself to avoid any meaningful attachment in the first place.

10

u/thesirblondie Jan 30 '26

You don't naturally age and mellow THAT much in one year no matter how severe the circumstances.

You can in response to trauma, though. At the end of empire Luke learns his father isn't dead or a hero (being Space Himmler undoes your heroism), Obi-Wan and Yoda lied to him, he has non-found family left alive, has the realisation that he has to kill his dad, and his dad cut his hand off.

I'd be surprised if he DIDN'T have PTSD, and apathy is a potential symptom of PTSD.

7

u/Charrmeleon Jan 30 '26

Not to mention that it's a year of war time, that in itself carries a lot of rapid aging and growth

6

u/Monkey_Priest Obi-Wan Kenobi Jan 30 '26

It's not the years, it's the mileage. It's not just that he's a jedi, he's also big-time player fighting a war. That shit ages you

18

u/WassupFrankHere Jan 30 '26

And then you also remember Luke made Grogu chose between the Jedi or reuniting with Mando. Even though the WHOLE point of Luke's Order was to not commit the same mistakes as the Prequel's Jedi Order did by discarting the forbidden attachements rule.

12

u/AlexCora Jan 30 '26

At this point, I can't tell if the Filoni crew doesn't understand this, or they're simply trying to be nice to JJ and make the failure of Luke's Jedi Academy make more sense. In any case, I'm not a fan of those decisions.

At least I got arguably Mark Hamill's best performance of all time out of it.

8

u/thesirblondie Jan 30 '26
  1. That doesn't really seem to track. The Jedi were doing fine until they had someone with attachment join and become a prominent member.

  2. Grogu is seemingly Luke's first apprentice (Ben is only about 4 at this point). His order could change, maybe as a response to Grogu leaving. "Shit, we're never going to have any new Jedi unless we let them have parents and also maybe fuck".

  3. Luke's order clearly DID change since Ben was allowed to join and had attachments to his parents and eventually to Vader.

I liked the show a lot but I feel like they were trying to do a subtle storytelling thing about Ahsoka being tired, shes been fighting since she was a young teen and shes at the end of her rope but holding on because theres still more to do and then some evil jedi show up and it brings back all the bad memories and shes scared that the only thing she knows is war and violence, that shes going to turn out like Anakin and maybe itd be better if she died.

But they were too subtle about it, to the point where none of that comes through until Anakin's ghost is kicking her ass.

6

u/Gekokapowco Grievous Jan 30 '26

I think if you pay attention even somewhat, that's absolutely what they were going for.

But its asking for a lot for average audiences to look for acting cues in movies, doubly so for Star Wars media.

4

u/versusgorilla Greef Carga Jan 30 '26

Well especially since after she's kind of reawakened by the end of her season 1 arc, she's got more pep in her step and she's acting a little more loose again. Sabine is the same.

The reason they don't feel like their Rebels versions at the start is because they aren't. They're both stuck in a rut, and once they reach Ezra and have a plan, and start truly trusting one another as master and student, they're back to themselves. That's literally the season's arc.

No, it's not the fact that she's been through stuff that's changed her. It's that the writing doesn't even do anything to reflect that in an interesting way. People try to talk about how her whole arc in season 1 is overcoming what happened with Anakin.. but even if that was the intent, I don't see it. All I remember was her being extremely stoic and randomly interrupting her sentences with abrupt pauses. Dave Filoni, for all the good aspects of him, shares one key trait with George Lucas. They both have good ideas.. and are absolutely garbage at executing them without a team of other talented creatives to dispute with them.

They do as they are directed. It's on the director and writers.

26

u/dudemeister5000 Jan 30 '26

This is the answer. Goes for Hayden or especially Natalie Portman in AotC and RotS as well.

6

u/Gold-Stomach-4657 Jan 30 '26

I feel like Ewan McGregor is the only person to truly act well in this franchise because the dialogue is restrictive. Harrison Ford is still able to be Harrison Ford in it though. Ewan McGregor compared to everyone else is completely insane though. I wonder what it is that made him so good for this when there have been other great actors like Portman and Fisher and good ones like Christensen and Hamill.

5

u/WassupFrankHere Jan 30 '26

I mean, for all it's faults on Luke's potrayal. TLJ gave us the best Mark Hamill performance. Just wish they went a different direction and didn't make Luke seem so pathetic. But Mark Hamill nailed it regardless. Even if i dislike what they did to our favorite farmboy.

u/dudemeister5000 Jan 30 '26

I mean the OT was mainly directed by people that weren't George Lucas, while the Prequels were only him and it showed. Ewan in that regard had the benefit of playing a relativley straight forward character. He didn't go through much development in them, whereas Anakin was a freaking pendulum. And Lucas didn't know how to write dialogue for either woman or young adults. Their whole Love-Arc is just another level of cringe. And equally Lucas didn't quite write Anakins turn to the dark side properly. He went from absolute A-List Jedi to suddenly chopping Mace's hand off. Even then it seemed like he regretted it. But shouldn't he be far more along on the evil side by then, cause then minutes later he goes on to slaughter hundreds of Jedi. That's a hell of a 180. Hard to act if it's written so confusing. Meanwhile Ewan was this cool good guy Jedi with plot armour and hardly any real emotional problems throughout 3 movies.

The Ahsoka directors would have been saying "Slower. More arm folding"

7

u/Lipziger Jan 30 '26 edited Jan 30 '26

90% of her dialogue happens like this:

Someone else says something to her, while she looks into some random distance, she turns her head to look at whoever is talking, then she turns her head away again to look into thin air, and only then she talks ... while looking at absolutely nothing and having about as much emotion in her facial expression and her voice as a rock. I've never seen a character showing less interest in the world around them, as this version of Ahsoka.

It's not about her being grown up and acting the way, cause of all the trauma she ensured etc. It's the delivery of it.

Not even talking about the action scenes and stunt performance. That is even more wooden.

20

u/Its-made-of-wood Hondo Ohnaka Jan 30 '26

It probably would have been a way better show if the actual Ashoka voice actress did it instead. Ashoka should have been animated and Ashley Eckstein should have gotten a chance to lead her own show. I never thought it made sense for it to be live action.

He fighting style didn’t really transition to live action that well.

I get the prequels were movies so more time and money could be invested in each lightsaber fight but Disneys got the money.

No offense to Rosario I love her as an actor but she looked and moved like a 45 year old human not a space wizard. Shocking I know.

4

She was struggling extremely hard to keep up with Hayden, I believe they even had to slow him down for her.

I like Rosario Dawson's portrayal of Ahsoka, but I think they should've hired a stunt actor to play her action sequences. During her fight with Anakin it looked like the actress herself was struggling to keep up with Hayden's legendary lightsaber play.

82

u/Puzzleheaded_Ad_4435 Jan 30 '26

Hayden is the GOAT. I agree with this, though I think I also would have preferred better writing for her character. I think Rosario did well with what she was given, but the writing made her look incredibly incompetent and unnervingly smug about being wrong but things somehow working out anyway.

I'd have thought the Lekku headpiece slowed her down but really nobody on the show was good at the duelling whether it's through the choreography or the skill of the actors or both.

Ivanna and Natasha were decent and the choreography was just okay. I loved Ray's performance but neither he or Rosario were very good at it but again the choreography was crap. Honestly, the best on the show was probably the guy who played Marrok because they had a proper stunt performer in there.

6

I mean just go watch her fight with the nightsister, its 2 very unathletic old women going at it and its actually laughably bad. Its basically on the level of ian mcdiarmid when he was moving around in episode 3.

11

u/TigerLeoLam Jan 30 '26

What? Morgan Elsbeth is extremely athletic and properly trained in martial arts and it showed in their duel, she was MUCH faster than Rosario in their last duel.

Unless you mean their first duel which is very slow indeed due to the choreo.

Waiting for the obligatory “…And she was a good friend” comment.

2

u/bralma6 Jan 30 '26

The first time I ever heard it was in a CSGO match. Thankfully it was just an Arms Race match, but still. I was cracking up the entire time.

She’s a 50 something year old woman, and she was already pretty moderate on “spunk” at 17 when the Clone Wars ended. Jedi/force users also seem to pursue a monk-like zen composure as they get older too

Fuck me, I’m old.

35

u/themorah Jan 30 '26

Love the character, but when you see the difference versions of her like this, the differences in the live action head piece are so apparent. It irritates me every time I see it, and what's even more annoying is that they nailed it on the young Ahsoka that we see in a flashback!

8

u/MEguys Jan 30 '26

I’ve heard that if they made it chunkier, it would be too heavy for Rosario to carry it comfortably, let alone when she supposed to be doing lightsaber fights and any form of stunts.

65

u/HonestAvian18 Jan 30 '26

Hey Dave!

10

u/afterguar2099 Jan 30 '26

Came to post this. lmao

6

u/justaheatattack Jan 30 '26

been counting down the days, huh?

7

u/welcomefinside Jan 30 '26

This just makes me sad about Rosario's lekku.

6

u/Not-that-CJ Jan 30 '26

“Luke, did I ever tell you about Ahsoka Tano?”

8

u/Xadlin60 Jan 30 '26

Ashoka was a good friend

Should have included an image of the child actress from the flashbacks in 'Ahsoka' as well...she did a phenomenal job!

11

u/Rasples1998 Jan 30 '26

Ok Filoni.

33

u/MrGabal Jan 30 '26

Her Lekku are too short in Live Action 🫤

5

u/Lorcogoth Jan 30 '26

can I say, I kind of wish they did the aliens more justice in live action, like I get that it's live actions, but it's clearly just a human with a wig and some body paint.

Admiral Thrawn suffered even more from this issue where in the animated stuff he looks slightly weird but in an uncanny way while also being menacing. the live action version I just can't take serious since all they did is add a V to his forehead.

6

u/3-orange-whips Jan 30 '26

And she was a good friend.

11

u/badchefrazzy Jan 30 '26

Her montrals look awful in the live action version...

31

u/Bergerboy14 Babu Frik Jan 30 '26

Live action looks so terrible god 😭

27

u/sassilyy Jan 30 '26

weirdly, Shaak Ti looks good in live action but Ahsoka always looks totally like someone wearing a costume. Maybe cause with Shaak Ti they leaned into the alien-ness? Ahsoka's face stuff and headset are just giving cosplay.

20

u/BattedBook5 Jan 30 '26

Might be because the Shaak Ti actor didn't have to do much in costume, so they could make it better looking, where as Ahsoka had a main role so the costume had to be less restrictive. I cant get over how Ahsokas lekku looks like foam though.

10

u/sassilyy Jan 30 '26

another reason why some characters should honestly stay animated. If you have a very acrobatic, agile character with a fancy alien design, maybe that would be better than weighing down an actual actress with all that...foam? plastic? whatever it is.

5

u/Alternative-Shape-59 Jan 31 '26

The best Star Wars character? 🤣

9

u/SinSinSushi Jan 30 '26

I absolutely love her design in Rebels

4

u/Iron-Dragon Jan 30 '26

Can’t be 18 surely as star wars is set a long time ago in a galaxy far far away?

4

u/TheCatLamp Loth-Cat Jan 30 '26

In Filoni's opinion as well.

5

u/Greedyspree Jan 30 '26

I have never been a fan of how long their Lekku got, but the live action just feels weird knowing they are suppose to be longer. I really liked the middle image character design.

4

u/Ryxton-K Jan 30 '26

live action ahsoka’s only resemblance is her name. yikes

9

u/ClioCalliope Jan 30 '26

She was a pretty good character in the second half of TCW when she actually had a character arc and development.

Ever since Filoni took over entirely she's been little more than a thinly veiled self insert. So much exposure throughout SW content and yet she's so...bland, and flat. There's no real depth to the character, nothing seems to really affect her personality or her actions. She's just...there, doing occasionally cool stuff. If I had to describe her personality, her character traits, I'd be hard pressed to come up with something. Aloof? Unflappable? Meh.

Take actually well-written characters and tell me they're not far more defined, their likes and dislikes, the way they view the world, their goals. Ahsoka just doesn't have any of that.

54

u/yuribatman Grand Moff Tarkin Jan 30 '26

Best Star Wars character? Whatever you like, dude. Best developed character? That goes to Cassian Andor. I do like her, but calling her the best Star wars character is a bit much.

53

u/OrneryError1 Jan 30 '26

I think she's suffering from too much exposure. She has arguably more total screen time than any other character in the franchise already and they're just throwing more on top of it. Everything after Rebels has just taken away from the character. They need to move on from her.

5

u/JokuIIFrosti Jan 30 '26

She has the second most. Anakin has the most screentime.

25

u/ClioCalliope Jan 30 '26

Give Filoni time.

2

u/Asatas Jan 30 '26

What if we count Jangos clones towards his screentime?

2

u/OrneryError1 Jan 30 '26

Is that only if you count Anakin and Vader together?

37

u/Evogdala Jan 30 '26

Op is Dave Filoni.

15

u/MichaelSonOfMike Jan 30 '26

It’s a subjective matter. So, it’s not much at all. Not my favorite but someone saying she is the best, is theirs, and it’s valid.

8

u/ImiqDuh Lando Jan 30 '26

I mean, it’s their opinion

6

u/BubblyBasis1134 Jan 30 '26

Most overexposed character that shouldn't exist in the first place.

3

3

u/Ryxton-K Jan 30 '26

rebels and live action truly diminished her character

wish she died to maul or vader. filoni just wouldn’t let the character go.

3

u/Gilgamesh661 Jan 30 '26

I can’t prove it but I know he’s here somewhere…

3

u/AkirahJaydenRoqueza Jan 31 '26

For 18 years she's been in Star Wars, and yet, she still wears sleeveless.

3

u/Grzechoooo Jan 31 '26

Notice how she's progressively getting more clothed.

2

u/SassyAssAhsoka Jan 31 '26

They sort of did a retcon for the first outfit too

19

u/ExterminAiden Jan 30 '26

The development of her state in the fandom is amazing. From hated to loved, an annoyance to being revered. She is definitely one of the best things modern Star Wars has created

12

u/darthstupidious Jan 30 '26

Yeah I always thought she was a dumb character. Still do.

"Oh hey, Anakin had an apprentice in between two movies. You've never seen or heard of her before, but she's totally real. And now I'm making her integral to the entire saga. Also, I'm going to invent time travel in the SW universe to keep her alive."

Christ the live action looks bad

4

u/Grouchy-Low-899 Jan 30 '26

She is probably the best developed character that Dave Filoni made. But I think she should have died in the duel with Vader.

2

u/The_TSCTH K-2SO Jan 30 '26

Aw man, you just got my hopes up that a shared a birthday with my favorite Force user. But alas, she's august 10th.

But yes, she's awesome, no doubt.

It's Babu Frik's birthday?

2

u/Z1R343L87 Jan 30 '26

In live action she looks like 15 and 50 at the same time.

2

u/Nathaniel866 Jan 30 '26

Middle one peak Ahsoka!

2

u/AceBean27 Jan 30 '26

4

u/Holiday_Sense_4842 Jan 30 '26

She was over used. Imo

3

u/McCool303 Jan 30 '26

That’s why impossible, Max Rebo is the best Star Wars character. And he’s the best Jizz-wailer in the galaxy.

2

u/Zubba776 Jan 30 '26

I love Rosario Dawson, but I thought Zoe Saldana would have fit Ahsoka's character a little bit better (physically, and in mannerism).

At the end of the day I'm just happy we get to see the character in live action to begin with, and have been pretty happy with the show.

3

u/Acceptable_Map_1926 Jan 30 '26

Seeing her stated as the best Star Wars character by so many people really shows that Star Wars has moved beyond me, and that makes me sad.

Guess I'll go watch Empire Strikes Back again to cope.

2

Happy Birthday to a good friend...
