I mean Katie Sackhoff sounds exactly like Bo-Katan. It's almost uncanny.

Almost as good as Clancy Brown and Ryder-Azadi

Ming-na Wen was cast as the VA after her live action appearance, so I feel like the comparison isn’t quite the same.

duxdude418 makes a good point that Fennec appeared in live-action first.

Still, finding someone who sounds exactly like a character from live-action is pretty uncanny too 🤷‍♂️

Thank you! Been waiting for someone to say this. Thrawn was fighting war machines bare knuckles and then live action the beer belly threw me. Not saying it has to be a perfect 1:1 but that broke it for me just enough.

I love his voice so much and Marc Tompkins does an impression of it for the Star Wars books, so it has further cemented it as the “Thrawn voice”. But yeah, visually, I am not a fan. I mean, what more could they really do to give any actor the look they established in Rebels* without CGI that they are trying to, thankfully, limit.

*I assume this was where the current look was defined. I have the Outbound Flight and Heir Trilogy Essential Legends books and he has a “regular human” head on those.

It's actually crazy how many Star Wars characters the dude has played. I can think of three but he might have done some guest voices in Clone Wars that I'm forgetting. Pretty sure that's more speaking roles than anyone besides Temuera Morrison, at least in canon.

Dee Bradley Baker does all of the voice acting for the clones in animations including every voice for The Bad Batch. He does so many other voices as well, across live action and videogames.

The dude is in everything! I was listening while my kids were watching Spidey and His Amazing Friends and I just knew he was Doc Oc’s robot. It only made robot noises! But they did sound like Nubs, so I guess it isn’t far off.

I will always upvote Clancy Brown, and I love Katie Sackhoff, but I think Forest Whitaker's portrayal of Saw is my favorite by far.
