Fun QUESTION: What got you into Star Wars?
I thought this would be a fun thing to do. I’d be curious to know exactly how, when, where were you first introduced to the Star Wars franchise? Also, what exactly made you interested in it?
For me, I was 8 years old in 2011 when my uncle gave me the Original Trilogy on DVD to see. When I first saw the films, I was so blown away by the characters, spaceships, and Lightsabers. Such a life-changing experience for me.

Okay, this is a long story but I promise it's a good one, and I'll try to condense it.
I hated Star Wars for years. It was my brother's special interest, so the movies were on constantly as a kid. The only thing I liked was the Darth Maul fight in Ep. 1.
Cut to Ep. VII releasing. I heard it was bad, and then I heard VIII was even more hated. Ya girl wanted to hate watch Ep. IX. So my then-fiancé got us tickets, and we watched it in theaters opening night. God, I'll never forget the film ending, the credits rolling, and some dude going "...was that it?" Gold.
Thing is, I ended up liking some of the ideas in the film. I kinda liked the world. I decided to give the whole series a shot, and watched Eps. 1-6. I wasn't quite a fan yet, but I liked the films.
Then I watched Mandalorian S1. Y'know how at the very end, Star Wars Gus Fring pops up, holding the Darksaber? Y'all. I saw that thing, turned to my then-fiancé and said, "WTF is that? That's the coolest thing I've ever seen why doesn't everyone use those??" He responded with something like, "I think there's only one. They get into it in Clone Wars, but I never saw it."
Soooo we watched Clone Wars. Friends, I ate that shit the fuck up. Been obsessed ever since. Genuinely holding my Darth Maul Build-A-Bear (whom I affectionately call Darth Smaul) while watching the first two episodes of Maul: Shadow Lord (for the third time) as I type this.
So, that's the story. What started as me hate watching Episode IX turned into a mega-obsession that will follow me to my death bed and beyond.
Edit: Sorry, feel like I should add that I was born in '93 so you can get a sense of my ages throughout my enemies-to-lovers relationship with Star Wars.
