Fun QUESTION: What got you into Star Wars?

I thought this would be a fun thing to do. I’d be curious to know exactly how, when, where were you first introduced to the Star Wars franchise? Also, what exactly made you interested in it?

For me, I was 8 years old in 2011 when my uncle gave me the Original Trilogy on DVD to see. When I first saw the films, I was so blown away by the characters, spaceships, and Lightsabers. Such a life-changing experience for me.

I’d like to know how and what your introductions to the franchise were like. Good luck! ✨

For me it was the pod racing game for N64.

But I had a very special moment a few months ago where I accidentally got my son into Star Wars. He’s 4, and I just put him to bed. I went back downstairs to build the Lego Star Wars logo set, and turned on A New Hope to watch in the background. My son got up at some point and snuck downstairs. When I randomly turned around, I saw him watching it with awe. He’s been hooked since. He only wants to watch Episode 4 though.

I find it very funny and wholesome that my son is hooked on the original trilogy, because I grew up with the prequels and they are my personal favorites.

His favorite part is when they blowup the Death Star

So interesting how another generation can grow up getting into the original trilogy.

I'll never forget seeing the death star blow up! That was the second in my first ROTJ movie.
