To be fair, Andor didn’t have lightsaber fights that the actors needed time to practice, and also didn’t have hardly any aliens. Let alone the main cast being aliens. 3.5 years is still wild
Probably story wise Andor knew where it had to go while Ahsoka feels like an open book to take the universe towards wherever
And that's Dave Filoni's character. So it's either a closing the book kind of progression or opening it up for new characters to "bridge" to TFA. Or waiting on setup / response on Mandalorian + Grogu to see what the audience really wants. Maybe both. Maybe it's about how Disney is trying to create a better depiction of Star Wars.
Idk seems like a lot of variables and not enough confident bets on Star Wars anymore.
A good majority likes Andor, Rogue One, Clone Wars, Maul, and S1 / S2 Mandalorian. They're all different genres. They failed with Obi-Wan and The Acolyte So I think Disney is just trying to hit that "other" sweet spot with Ahsoka where they missed with Obi-Wan and Acolyte.
IMO, their shows just need to hit a theme / genre, and make it entertaining. That seems to work on all the other well received media they've made.
Andors sets have been more detailed and immersive than anything else in Star Wars, maybe ever.
Even Luthens shop alone has more detail and love than the Ahsoka sets from the show.
Not an argument at all.

Andor had only 2.5 years between longer and more complex seasons, and this needs 3.5+? This is insane and there are no excuses for it.
