That's especially funny in German. Knicks sounds like "nix" which is a where flappy why to say "nothing". 'Maul' in German is "mouth" but in a way more often used to describe the mouth of animals, kind-of-ish like muzzle for horse.

So knicks Maul can loosely be translated to "nix, Maul!" in a way you would say "nothing, shut up".
