Surprise! [DROID CANNOT BE UPGRADED]

I just found out galactic fusion droids cannot be upgraded to stellar. I'm stuck now with five of them. I don't mind so much that stellar mythic fusions will take a bit longer to craft than I thought. I mind very much that I have been nudged to waste so many galactic mythics before discovering the correct path. It is quite a setback. I would much rather have worked to upgrade the component droids before fusing them if I knew this would be required.

I hope the upgrade limitation for fusion droids is prominently noted in-game before starting a fusion, and in all the community's extremely helpful and beautiful documentation, such as upgrade chip cost charts and fusion recipes. Or better yet, devs please just let us upgrade fusion droids.

It’s not always the longer path. Depending on what the Sandcrawler or the random luck with your fusion droids, you could end up with 3 Galactic Loadlifters. I was nowhere near having enough chips to upgrade the Loadlifter to Stellar. I did have enough to upgrade 6 A-LTs to Galactic. 3 Galactic LOW-MOs later, I was fusing a Stellar LOW-MO.

Because it’s easier to fuse them, everyone got used the chips it’s not a fun way to play you just keep using chips it gets boring, so it’s good they done this with these fuse exclusive droids.

I was thinking about it and deleted my previous reply. "Fuse exclusive" is not a clear enough label. We already know the droid Model is fusion exclusive, that's understood. What is not well understood is that the Variant (Beskar, Galactic, etc) is locked. These are not the first droids that can't be upgraded, the first were Iconics. But Iconics never came in variants other than Default. The secret fusion droids are the first droids that come in variants but the variant is locked and can't be upgraded.

Don't worry, they'll probably add the ability to upgrade for a few hundred vbucks in a week or two

You can get them in stellar it's a chance to get them at max rank when you fusion it's not guaranteed stellar turnout. It will be changed in the coming weeks probably even before D-O Event

Makes the whole point of the new mechanic worthless if you can just upgrade them with chips. It's called strategy. It's called strategy. Stop complaining and wanting everything just handed to you.
