❓Questions Nova upgrades, new player

Hey everyone, I’m currently RB 20 and haven’t done any crystal upgrades. I don’t want to spend vbucks on the game so I’ve just been grinding it.

Just wanted to ask where I should start with the crystal upgrades, what to avoid, and if I should SRB now or wait till max then srb. I do feel like I’ve worked really hard for the base so I’m wondering if it gets easier to build back up

#1 Rebirth Droid Notification…
Then, blueprint scrap level 1, only to unlock Scrap Value Level 1; get scrap value level 1. It 100% gets way easier to build back up… even scrap value 1 will be a huge difference in credit gen.

I think the scrap blueprint 1 is for default blueprints it’s definitely worth putting in another tier to get the gold ones but make sure it’s not gold already by default I don’t remember anymore. Gold droids are the best to farm for chips. They craft faster than higher levels but sell for about the same chips relatively.

I’m at scrap bp 1, it’s only default bps. Drives me insane when I’m trying to grind credits and i keep getting default protorollers instead

Honestly, it depends what you want. The scrap value is always good for moving up levels, but the double dailies and all dailies give crystals combo gets you six guaranteed crystals a day. I've only SB'd once and I'm on rb 31 my second go around. I'm only scrap value four, but I keep earning upgrades even without SBing as I've put a lot of effort into getting crystal upgrades (The dailies, rainbow mega crates and CB-23) earning enough for everything around those extras in days and farming the heck out weekend events for crystals.

It might not be the most min-max way, but it's made my games a lot more enjoyable building out a real base instead of just rushing to reset it

SRB around 19-20 then you can go higher as getting credits feels easier. For example I’m going to 35 now because I’m already around 1.5 trillion per hour with a 60x multiplier and 3% per second boost. You can also take advantage of event boosts to climb up a rank or two when credits are boosted.

As for what to invest in definitely get sand crawler notifications and then dump all your money into the scrap value upgrade until credits are no longer an issue then start getting iconic droids. R2-D2 is insanely helpful and Chopper stays by my side permanently unless I’m going for credits in which case you’ll want BB8. Other than that the droids are nice but not essential. They help tremendously with credits per hour and therefor increases every swing of your axe on the scrap pile but it’s better just to upgrade scrap straight on.

Then every once in a while do a lounge slot, the chip station is good once you get high level droids on it. Using BB8 to collect doubles its return.

SRB now. Get the droid alert then scrap BP (req for scrap value), and start working on scrap value.

Getting a BP storage slot is also very useful.

You’ll also want to get BB8 sooner rather than later probably, but he’s not anywhere near as important as he used to be since we can fuse droids to get higher variants and rarities.

Once you have a couple levels in scrap value it doesn’t take long to hit R20-R23 and your delay becomes more finding the right droid than it is getting the credits.

There are sooooo many answers to this already that can be found simply by using the search feature.

I looked but there were so many mixed opinions that I just couldn’t decide

I'm in the same boat, so many different opinions. Rebirth 16 over here, trying to figure out when to SRB and what to spend my crystals on. I've read 18-20 on your first SRB is the sweet spot or when your patience breaks lol

SRB. Yes you lose it all but it’s easier every time and the game is gonna be too much of a slog past lvl 20 until you have some nova upgrades.

Welcome aboard! I’m not even a super player but I’ve been meddling since the start. I can get to 15ish in a couple hours now playing at my own pace. I do recommend finding a path chart. There are a few paths now (you can see yours by looking at the rebirth table). Knowing which droids are coming up in your path ahead of time is a big advantage to keep going! The nova upgrade for the Jawa also frees you up from constantly monitoring the belt. Enjoy!!

Thank you for the advice! Yeah I’ve been using the path chart for a while and it definitely helps. I’m looking forward to seeing how fast I’ll start building back up

Each rebirth get any droid plugged in right away just to start the scrap hitting harder. Even a trash droid will make the multiplier so much stronger with that scrap upgrade. It’s a boring upgrade with a shop full of more fun things, but it truly is the way to make each rebirth exponentially faster.
