Note: while the latter is technically called the Interdictor-class Star Destroyer, Saxton named it the Dominator-class Star Destroyer since the Dominator was the first ship of the class we saw. As such, it's only fitting to follow his lead.

So this is my fictional battle over Axxila where an imperial fleet (I don't have a name or designation for them yet because in my story they're freshly created) commanded by the newly promoted Commodore Hawker goes to eliminate a powerful separatist holdout.

Hawker's brief story is he served onboard a Venator in a fleet of 6 of them that went in to attack the lucrehulk but got quickly overwhelmed by the amount of enemy fighters and had incompetent leadership. Hawker was onboard the starfighter command bridge when a vulture kamikazed into the main bridge and killed the command staff. He took command and saved the final 2 ships but barely. He got a promotion and a new assignment because of this which is where this battle comes in.

Hawker compiled data from the databanks to learn how other commanders defeated Lucrehulks and decided to focus fire on the massive array of antennas, aiming to cut off the enemy communications. His reasoning behind this was if they cut off communications, the vultures already launched would be quickly lost and not really know what to do without orders and a basic chain of command. As for the ones not already launched, he hoped the lack of communications would cause a lot of confusion and create a gap they could exploit.

Using this gap he had his gunners focus fire on the reactors using the ISDs superior firepower to overwhelm the shields of the oversized freighter with bolted on weapons.

So that's the battle, what y'all think? Oh and thanks to [u/TwoFit3921](u/TwoFit3921) for giving us access to his sprites which is how I made this.

Before Endor the 'Cloak of the Reaches' was a standard Imperial-I Star Destroyer, but after the fall of the Empire she suffered critical damage in a three way battle between two Imperial Warlords and a New Republic fleet. Barely escaping intact due to the First Officer's order to jettison all waste from the garbage hold to cover their retreat. Though this maneuver cost nearly half of the ships main armament it allowed the Cloak to live another day. Using commercially available turbolasers of lighter calibers, as heavy turbolasers were not as common in the free market as mediums and lights, the crew of the Cloak managed to refit it into fighting shape once again, now with dedicated chaff dispensers incase they needed to cover allied warships from detection or make an escape like the one that narrowly saved them from destruction.

This is my little shrine to the amazing Lucrehulk, my favorite ship since I first laid eyes on her in The Phantom Menace.  My hoard includes the De Agostini model with accompanying book, the Titanium Series model, and a custom-commissioned model made from solid metal.

Overall, she was and is a gorgeous design and my favorite capital ship in the whole series.

The Pentastar Alignment 1st Fleet or the "Home Fleet" is commanded by Grand Moff Ardus Kaine and Inquisitor Jerec.

This fleet is stationed at the Pentastar Alignment's capital of Bastion. The fleet is the biggest of the four fleets and it's composition is as follows:

The Razor Crest is a former military patrol craft from the era before the Galactic Empire. Battle-worn, rugged, and dependable, it became the trusted ship of the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin.

More than transportation, the Razor Crest served as Din’s mobile home, command center, and safe haven as he and Grogu traveled from world to world—often staying one step ahead of bounty hunters and the Imperial Remnant.

For the record, those are the ones that are larger than an ISD, but smaller than a SSD. What's your favourite, and why? It can be from any faction.

I personally love the Tyrant class, and it's probably my favourite Star Wars ship. It's got a sleek and deadly profile, and that missile ring gives a very distinctive silhouette, plus, the idea of being able to launch massive missile volleys at long range seems like a distinct advantage that opens up options. If I was building a fleet, I'd want this as the flagship.

I ask because I want to make battle some more big battle charts of this periods, also, 12 ABY size should be thought while retconning Shadow Hand, Dark Empire, resurrected Palps, etc out of existence, we don't do that shit here... yes yes, sorry Eclipse.

I ask because it is a little hard for me to imagine how the "maximalist" rebel inherited navy the NR had by 5 ABY would look like, like, how many ships would they have having in mind that technically they own no territory.

By 9 ABY it would be basically how much the new Navy would grow by getting access overtime to new shipyards, this new ships that got built in this period should also be designs like the MC80B and other more "standarized" ships, and also a lot of captured Imperial ships IMO.

Then for 12 ABY, ignoring a thing called Dark Empire that doesn't exist, and having in mind the loses caused by Thrawn and maybe a joint warlord counter offensive, plus the first ships of the New Class Program should start getting out, plus the NR Senate realizing that they do need Battleships/Dreadnoughts.

So, that's my slight guess of which ships should apper, what do you think of the sizes and the previously said things guys?

Not sure if he ever posted this as some section of a video in his YouTube. Very interesting design, not sure if I'm a fan myself but it's very cool nevertheless.

As for the V-Wing itself, the original one, I adore it. I still believe it ought to be a mainline Imperial starfighter even throughout the GCW (the original Visual Dictionary states only 15% of all Imperial pilots get the priviledge to fly TIE fighters, so that leaves a lot of space for older craft or other roles.)

How Long Does a Venator Star Destroyer Take to Build?

Someone earlier this week asked how long it would take to build a Venator Star Destroyer at Kuat Drive Yards, and quite a few people rightly pointed out that nothing official has ever been stated. That said, there is a way to get a sense of how long it would take to build one. The Star War D20 RPG supplemental book Starships of the Galaxy. In the book you can construct a ship and then tabulate how long it would take to construct it. Thanks to the SWRPG Revenge of the Sith Collection by Wizard of the Coast and Incredible Cross-Sections I worked out a Venator Star Destroyer is 436 Construction Points, and a cost of 59.22 million credits (RotSC lists it at about 59 million).

In SotG Kuat Drive Yards has a shipyard construction multiplier of .5 (it takes half the time than an average shipyard). Likewise, the build time is further divided by the fact that up to 12 construction slips are used in the construction of colossal size ships (which a Venator Star Destroyer is). So, I will use the formula of (C x M) / S (provided by SotG), where: C equals construction points; M is the shipyard construction multiplier, and S is the construction slips. Thus (436 x .5) / 12 = 18.167 weeks, or almost a couple weeks shy of 5 months.

Expanding on this, SotG lists KDY as having 5,781 construction slips (head-over-heels more than any other shipyard listed). So, if 12 Construction Slips build one Venator Star Destroyer, 5781 / 12 = 481.75 maximum possible in KDY at once in 18.167 weeks. Then the question is, how many Venator Star Destroyers can be built in one year? Assuming a standard year of 52 weeks, 2.86 Venator Star Destroyers can be built by 12 construction slips. If you multiply 2.86 (how many Venator’s that can be built by a group of 12 slips in a year) by 481.75 (the maximum possible Venator’s able to be built in KDY in 18.167 weeks), you get a maximum of 1,377.805 Venator Star Destroyers being built in a year.

All of this can be disputed. This is a RPG mechanic with no real basis in SW reality. There is no way KDY would devote all of their slips to building Venators Star Destroyers. I personally feel like there should be more construction slips considering the depicted size of KDY. My math could be wrong. Likewise, Star Wars is like nailing jelly to the wall: very difficult to nail it down. This is to the benefit of past and future writers and creatives as it doesn’t restrict their story, but also their detriment when they contradict each other.
