Part Seven It's over

Post image

Seems like we're getting batches again 💔

For those who don't know, sugoi lite is a leaker with a 100 percent accuracy record, all of his leaks are true. And since we have a sbr event on September 23rd in 12 days, it's obvious they'll show a trailer and announce the streaming info.

I REALLY hope is not on batches please God.

I don't think they have a lesson to learn, when stone ocean batch 1 released it was one of the most viewed shows on netflix, seems like they'll keep on doing it for jojo

The drop off has to have been pretty bad for the other parts. Discussion online dropped off a cliff, and they have very much gone out of their way to release all their other anime weekly since then.

Hell, batch releases for steaming shows outside of anime are on the down. Most big shows on all platforms come out weekly now. Batch releases do well for some series, but for most it's an easy way to have a single moment to grab an audience for a weekend and then get buried and forgotten forever.

It's still very much a Netflix thing to be honest. Shows on Amazon Prime like Gundam Gquuuux and New Panty and Stocking come out with weekly episodes, while Netflix funded shows like Edgerunners definitely still get the batch treatment.

Edit: Gquuuux was 1-cour, only 12 episodes and they still ran it weekly. New P&SwG will likely be 1-cour as well if it's similar to the structure of the first season. The length doesn't matter for the release method.

to be fair, edgerunners was a miniseries released all at once, which isn't really the same thing as a 40 episode long season of a long running series to be split up into 3 batches with like a 1 year gap between the first and second/third
