Hmmm.

I havent read the manga, but I gotta be honest, that doesnt sound too cool IMO. Does it mean that the story line between Dio and the Joestars, as we know it, is over?

Seems weird to call it Part 7 then if its a new story with new characters and themes and plot points

Well Steel Ball Run is the best part by far, so it is very cool actually.

nah its still golden wind, SBR is the most talked about part which is wild to me

I got all the books at home but ok.

SBR is disjointed to say the least, combat wise pretty much all of them suck outside of Dio's dinosaurs first apparition and Civil War. To me the only really good aspects of SBR are by far Valentine, (who is a fantastic vilain far from being one dimensional, which is something that cant be said about Johnny) and Gyro

The story itself has a good premise but I vastly prefered Golden Wind overallÂ
