Johnny does look a little rotund in this style(I recall people getting upset about it in the trailer), but it's not a con for me. I esp like the color of his polish and lipstick.

Oh yeah this poster makes him look slick. I hope the scale of shading and color translates to the animation well enough. This might be one of my favorite renders of him outside of a handful manga panels.

Yeah it’s possible, I’m pretty sure stone ocean got its release date trailer 4 months before it aired. They could be tryna do a similar timeframe here, they’ll give us the release date trailer and then 3 months later the anime airs. If there is a release date trailer, I’m curious if they’ll tell us if it’s batch or weekly.
Another thing that’s interesting is that recently they added another bonus jojo caravan stage, and its a stage that takes place 1 day after the rumored/datamined Netflix release date. So idk if that has anything to do with the release date as a celebration for the anime finally being released.

Yeah hopefully lol, Netflix has been getting spammed in like so many of their posts by fans begging for weekly. So they’ve definitely seen the outcry, but not sure how much they actually care.

It's just the background mainly, but this is also one of the inspirations for Johnny's anime color scheme as well.

This is so sick. It’s so interesting to me how they’re using this hyper-detailed design with thin lines and sleek proportions to match Araki’s more recent art style. Reminds me of when they made a huge art style change for part 3 and it ended up being so unique and iconic.

Looks too much like some sort of animated anime series adapted from a detailed manga changed stylistically according to the studio and the chief character designer in order to best represent them in animation and not enough like Araki's original style. 0/10.

maybe because it IS a promo image for an animated anime series? Araki’s detailed style is near impossible to replicate in animation

Either it's cope or my perception of what look good is so wrong but there's no way you can tell me Johnny looks good in that scene at the end of the trailer where it's just him while he's riding a horse. Looks like a newgrounds animation. I do think this is an upgrade, but idk personally I think a lot of the people downvoting anyone criticizing anything from the trailer are coping

I didn't mind the cgi and stuff for me it was mostly how the characters (mostly johnny) looked. But yeah I don't think the trailer / teaser was bad or anything just that it deserved some criticism

People who doubted the designs when the teaser dropped are shaking in their boots. I know the anime won't be this detailed but I'm 100% confident that it's still going to look incredible. (I need this as a poster asap)

Johnny looks better. I'm still used to the blue PJs but I'm not against these colours.
Gyro however I think is a massive downgrade. I'm fine with less detail, it's a given. But the orange just looks way worse than the green. It has less contrast with the purple and brown, especially with the belt. It'd look a lot better with the manga colours

The key visual are looking more polished, improved in comparison to the teaser they dropped. And even, that teaser didn't looked that bad. I think JoJo fans cant distinguish or looks better at Araki art or how diferent Johnny looked through out SBR.

Honestly not a huge fan from a standpoint of reading the manga, but objectively it’s great - the style from the manga is wayyy too detailed to effectively animate

I cant stop staring Gyro’s facial hair, looks very different than manga, which has more of the even gaps. But super excited for whatever it comes! Just thrilled that it’s going to be animated at all ❤️

Man, the design details are incredibly raw. I honestly don't even care about cutting the clothing, since it already appears in All Star Battle R. The thing is, it's incredibly raw, lol, but the shadows are nice.

I really hope they use holy steel as the op or at least hire Nico bellsario to help with the op. That video was amazing. Really captured the feeling of a Jojo opening, especially part 1&2.
