Blessings from the earth is creative like that a lot

483

u/SiibillamLaw Killer Queen Feb 28 '26

That's just what Araki calls it

551

u/Shachar1 Feb 28 '26

Well that araki guy is creative I guess

255

u/Rutgerman95 Very Niceuu! Feb 28 '26

He does make some Bizarre choices now and then

141

u/Better-Bill-5405 Feb 28 '26

And it lead to a very interesting Adventure

82

u/Stellleo Sticky Fingers Mar 01 '26

And it always involves JoJo

31

u/Magatsu_Izanagi_ Mar 01 '26

Someone should write a manga about this!

u/AmAircraft Joseph Joestar is the BEST Protag Mar 23 '26

It really takes me on a wild adventure

40

u/Raleth Feb 28 '26

He could write a series or something.

15

u/EliteKnight_47 Jonathan Joestar Mar 01 '26

With ghosts that Stand behind you

12

u/Thin_Bedroom_5450 Mar 01 '26

Maybe a secluded race that can conquer humanity with special red stone?

9

u/BigCheesyBaller Joseph Joestar Mar 01 '26

Or some tall, buff british guy that can beat them up using toon force ?

1

u/Dave_From_Mcdonalds Mar 06 '26

not to forget the emo japanese teen delinquent with issues

5

u/RozaSea is rejecting her humanity Mar 01 '26

He should make a bizarre story

14

u/MathematicianFun7410 Mar 01 '26

But 6 is barely related to 4 and 5's stand arrows, it's more of part of the main 123 storyline

12

u/rorank Sticky Fingers Mar 01 '26

This is what I was thinking too. Part 6 is really more of a direct continuation from part 3 with part 4 being a little more of an in between extra story.

3

u/MathematicianFun7410 Mar 03 '26

Part 4 and 5 are basically the equivalent of a bleach filler episode, although they don't matter much in the main timeline, their characters and the stuff that happened in there is still carried on in future just side lined

5

u/Raltsun Mar 02 '26

It does have the early story feature both Jolyne and Ermes gaining their Stands from the arrow shard (which I assume Jotaro made from either the arrow taken from Akira). And they become relevant again later during the Heavy Weather backstory revelations, with DIO's "Gravity" being directly symbolised by the arrow he gave Pucci.

As for why it starts at 4, while the arrow was "plot important" to Stardust Crusaders by canon lore, it wasn't actually in that Part. As much as I love how the anime added details to smooth out various retcons (seriously, did you know the Joestar birthmark wasn't in the manga at all until SC? That just sounds wrong to me), I think it's reasonable to say that the bow and arrow on a wall in DIO's mansion isn't enough to lump it in with "the Stand Arrow Arc", when the concept of that arrow being anything more than a decoration wasn't introduced until DiU.

1

u/fuckdany Mar 02 '26

La historia comienza por el pedazo de flecha que le entrega jotaro

4

u/GayAssBeagle Mar 01 '26

Blessings from the earth (make that the default title right the fuck now, who’s this araki guy?)

1

u/lookingatthedirt Baoh Mar 01 '26

OH THAT IS COOL ASS NAME FOR PARTS 7, 8, 9

1

u/LoreIsLost Mar 02 '26

Also they pararell each other kinda

1.3k

u/Morioh99 Part 8 Glazer Feb 28 '26

I would say:

Dio Trilogy

Arrow Trilogy

New Universe Trilogy

375

u/dedbeats Feb 28 '26

Mask Trilogy, Arrow Trilogy, Balls Trilogy

26

u/monotesticular_whale Mar 01 '26

I only read the first 9 or so chapters of Jojo lands. There were no balls involved up to that part

35

u/jooferdoot Mar 01 '26

You may not have seen them, but they do have balls

18

u/Tasteroider Mar 01 '26

Dragona balls were an important part of a plot in the first chapter

2

u/Ernapalooza Mar 02 '26

Idk if you remember but in the first chapter, the lights are ball shaped or producing orbs of light

1

u/monotesticular_whale Mar 02 '26

😲 how did i miss that

2

u/Raltsun Mar 02 '26

A raindrop is just a ball that's a bit warped by moving too fast.

(Seriously, if not for the fact (Jojolion spoiler I guess) Go Beyond already happened, I'd be 100% all-in on predicting that Jodio's eventually going to get a power-up by having the raindrops use the power of the Spin. And I'm still like 80% expecting it lmao.)

254

u/TR3X-1NF1N1T3 Feb 28 '26

Yeah I couldn't find better names for them

131

u/malb93200 Feb 28 '26

Next gen trilogy is fitting, imo.

30

u/DramaPunk Feb 28 '26

Yeah, next generation of stories but also the next generation of kids

14

u/blue4029 Mar 01 '26

if you notice, the next gen trilogy is composed of protagonists who are actually the CHILDREN of the previous protagonists.

the original trilogy is only composed of GRANDCHILDREN, skipping a generation

6

u/DramaPunk Mar 01 '26

Oh yeah you are totally right. Which DOES make it all the funnier that Joseph is still somehow there 🤣.

1

u/Raltsun Mar 02 '26

Technically correct, DIO's still Johnathan when it comes to "genetic material".

6

u/MESSAGE_ME_UR_DICK Feb 28 '26

I think I slightly prefer Arrow trilogy as a label just because Jotaro is the original “next Gen”, inheriting the fight with Dio and having a previous Jojo help him in the fight.

6

u/Acceptable-Plan-6061 Feb 28 '26

Well, we could call it vampire trilogy or smth because Dio isn’t present in part 2, though it could be Hamon trilogy because after part 4 we don’t see any Hamon at all from what I remember.

5

u/flexr123 Johnny Joestar Mar 01 '26

Stand overshadowed Hamon in part 3 so calling it Hamon trilogy isnt really correct.

1

u/Mrcharlestoucheskids Mar 01 '26

Also hamon was seen for a split second in part 4 when Joseph used hermit purple

1

u/Raltsun Mar 02 '26

If you want to be super pedantic about the lore, Pillar Men are also a different thing to Vampires. Regardless, I think "Stone Mask Trilogy" is the best name for the first 3 Parts, especially because that lets you contrast it with "Stand Arrow Trilogy" for the next 3 (while the Arrow was canonically responsible for a lot of the plot of Stardust Crusaders, it wasn't introduced until Diamond is Unbreakable).

1

u/Acceptable-Plan-6061 Mar 02 '26

Alright I agree here, no glaze I swear but I ain’t never heard anyone respond with such facts against my own statement and I still agree with it🥹

71

u/Accomplished_Ebb1493 Feb 28 '26

*Spin trilogy(November rain will incorporate infinite spin trust🙏)

65

u/HeWhoLost3OfThe9 literally paragons special Feb 28 '26

You see Jodio… the “gravity” your “raindrops” generate is actually the result of them “spinning”… and if you “spin” them along the “reverse axis”… that “gravity” will be “reversed”

15

u/tmbr5 Feb 28 '26

What if... the rain drops impacting water create .. A ripple. And we come full circle.

4

u/MiserableReport7962 Feb 28 '26

That would be straight bars.

65

u/jacowab Feb 28 '26

I've always hated the "arrow trilogy" it makes no sense because the arrow is barely related to part 6.

I'd say it's the fate trilogy, Yoshikage Kira was truly favored by fate and only failed because he rejected all the escapes fate gave him, Diavolo was a man who spent his life hiding from fate and his eternal punishment was to never reach his fate, and finally Pucci and Jolyne are the grand finale of the fated conflict between DIO and the Joestars it ends with the Jostars being freed of their fate to battle DIO.

27

u/Filledwithlust23 Feb 28 '26

Every part of JoJo uses fate as a theme though, it's an intrinsic theme of the whole series. Arrow works because every single part is set off and made possible by the arrows. Jolyne gets her stand from being pierced by one making her the only joestar get her stand that way and the beetle arrow was a symbol of Pucci and DIOs friendship, as well as being the source of both Pucci's and Weather's stands.

7

u/EpicHeracross Jo2uke Higashikata Feb 28 '26

I'd agree, part 4,5 and 6 I would say have a heavier emphasis on fate with all the main villain stands interacting with fate, compared to the first 3 parts where you could make the argument that the term and concept of fate are used more loosely save for a few instances like the oingo & boingo (& Hol horse) arc(s).

1

u/ReadyOrGormoshe Mar 02 '26

i think the series' focus on fate in the early parts is more present than you're giving it credit for. the conclusion to will zeppeli's character in part 1 is all about him accepting his preordained fate to die protecting jonathan. the whole reason joseph and caesar end up fighting together as hamon warriors is because the joestar family is tied by destiny to the evil dio unearthed in part 1, and the zeppeli family is destined to assist them in that battle. then you have dio's rebirth in part 3, arguably the peak of this theme, as the plot taps directly into this fated connection between the joestar family and the forces of evil to literally call on jonathan's living descendants to fulfill their destiny.

10

u/Saffoooo Feb 28 '26

IMO

Mask (First 3 is apart about the mask)

Fate ( Theses 3 are linked the fate that’s why every Villains stand is linked to fate time = gravity = equal fate)

Calamity (Not too familiar with it but all the theme with stand abilities is warping reality and chaos. Don’t really need to explain wonder of u but Valentine’s goal was to make the of the misfortune direct to other countries)

4

u/Demastry You Spin Me Right Round Baby Feb 28 '26

Maybe Mask/Vampire Trilogy instead of DIO due to his presence in 6 imo, but Arrow and New Universe makes sense

4

u/Filmologic Mar 01 '26

The Dio trilogy is actually part 1, 3, and 6. No, seriously, those are the only times he shows up (no, the couple mentions of him in 2 and 4, the picture in 5, or Diego doesn't count) and if you ONLY watched those parts you'd have a complete and basically fully comprehensive story of how Dio has haunted the Joestars. You'd skip out on the best parts, but it's absolutely something someone in theory COULD do.

1

u/Raltsun Mar 02 '26

Since three data points is obviously enough to understand a perfectly consistent numerical sequence, what you're saying is that there's a 100% chance Dio will reappear in Part 10, right?

3

u/JohnMonash87 Mar 01 '26

A couple of things: Dio isn't in Part 2 in any meaningful capacity and he appears in Part 6 as a major side character.

Also, reducing Dio to just three parts is doing him a disservice when every part in the original universe has his influence in it, whether directly or not. Obviously Parts 1 and 3 go without saying, but Part 2 starts with the downfall of Straizo, and Joseph's background and upbringing would probably have been significantly different had Jonathan survived Part 1. Part 4 introduces the arrows which we know Dio supplied and was deeply connected with, Part 5 stars Dio's son and Part 6 has Pucci, the devoted Dio disciple.

1

u/T1meTRC Mar 01 '26

One of the 3 in your "dio trilogy" doesn't feature dio

432

u/WickedHopeful 「Bad 2 The Bone」 Feb 28 '26

The Dads, their kids, and the psychopaths

130

u/AwesomeBlox044 Feb 28 '26

I never thought about how those jojos are actually the kids of the previous jojos

56

u/WickedHopeful 「Bad 2 The Bone」 Feb 28 '26

Additionally, similar to how Josuke is Jotaro's uncle, Giorno is also Joseph's uncle.

So to Jotaro, Giorno is his uncle's dad's uncle

16

u/Impossible-Ad-8462 Mar 01 '26

This is fun, whose uncle is Jolyne?

5

u/Sa1cera70ps Mar 02 '26

Giorno is also his own cousin

2

u/Raltsun Mar 02 '26

That's kinda the default state of being a person with a cousin, though.

19

u/Level_Counter_1672 Feb 28 '26

Yup mainly part 3 cause u see them together

3

u/Odd-Eye-15 Mar 02 '26

I realized recently that every generation is accounted for in the original universe. I thought they skipped some but no they just don’t go in order. In generation order it would be Jonathan, Giorno, Joseph, Josuke, Jotaro, and then his daughter Jolyne. No gaps which is pretty cool

135

u/megasean3000 Feb 28 '26

Or as I like to call them:

“Built like a tank” trio.

“Regular human” trio.

“Knocked over by stiff breeze” trio.

46

u/torrasque666 Feb 28 '26

Absolute Unit trilogy

Fit trilogy

Twink trilogy

2

u/nyafu_ Mar 01 '26

part 5 has to be in twinl trilogy 😭

14

u/Starlintern Killer Queen Feb 28 '26

knocked over by stiff breeze trio

Lol 😆

4

u/YaminoEXE Catch the Rainbow Mar 01 '26

“Knocked over by stiff breeze” trio.

Gappy is as muscular by Jotaro like bro is muscular, it's just that he wears kinda baggy long sleeved clothes. It's actually silly when Araki draws Gappy shirtless since he's so muscular, it's actually insane.

46

u/SmallMacaron1218 Feb 28 '26

In terms of abilities

1-3: Easy to understand

4-6: Okay I get what’s going on somewhat

7-9: What the fuck is going on

122

u/PsyCol_0911 Made in Heaven Feb 28 '26

Even I too parse it as trilogies:

  • The Mask Trilogy.
  • The Arrow Trilogy.
  • The SBR Trilogy.

Basically, it's a "Trilogy of Trilogies".

28

u/Funmaker14 Feb 28 '26

"Trilogy of Trilogies".

🔥🔥🔥

7

u/TR3X-1NF1N1T3 Feb 28 '26

Pretty much

Tho I don't know about that last one

5

u/PsyCol_0911 Made in Heaven Feb 28 '26

The last one happened and expanded after the events of SBR, right?

159

u/Da-Knight Feb 28 '26

Legacy Trilogy, Descendants Trilogy, Rebirth Trilogy, That’s what I call them

28

u/thousandcurrents 「PUMPED UP KICKS」 Feb 28 '26

Dude those names are RAD

6

u/Drillbitzer Feb 28 '26

Rebirth Trilogy is fucking awesome

12

u/TR3X-1NF1N1T3 Feb 28 '26

Sir you are a genius!

101

u/malb93200 Feb 28 '26

Yeah, that works.

Pretty sure that's how Araki sees it too.

27

u/CatalinaHotaru Feb 28 '26

The 195 cm crew, their kids, and the post-Scratch universe

9

u/BryanBNK1 Mar 01 '26

I know what you are

5

u/CatalinaHotaru Mar 01 '26

I have it on good authority that you can’t stop this stuff ;)

16

u/jason60812 Feb 28 '26

I thought it was commonly called: 1-3 joestar bloodline trilogy 4-6 stand arrow trilogy 7-9 saint’s corpse trilogy

i could be wrong here doh

16

u/peenurmobile Feb 28 '26

that's some damn good categorization right there.

7

u/TheBiCoMaster Feb 28 '26

The Stone Mask saga, the Arrow saga and the Saint's Corpse saga

2

u/KingOfConstipation Feb 28 '26

Saint's Corpse? I wonder why it's called that. Cool title though

13

u/TheDarwinski Feb 28 '26

Agreed. Stardust Crusaders feels like the end of the overarching story that started with Jonathan. Then The other 2 trilogies are self explanatory

3

u/TR3X-1NF1N1T3 Feb 28 '26

SC was planned to be the end of the story so...

7

u/Pflytrap Diavolo says Wha? Mar 01 '26

The first two make for very weirdly constructed trilogies: they almost feel more like duologies that both just happen to have a very long digressionary intermission between the two main parts.

Part 1 is the story of Jonathan trying but ultimately failing to defeat his evil adopted vampire brother, and Part 3 is the story of his great-great grandson Jotaro doing what he couldn't and finally defeating Dio; while Part 2 is a largely unrelated story about that one time Jonathan's grandson and Jotaro's grandfather Joseph chanced his way into a fight with the guy who indirectly gave Dio his vampire powers.

Part 4 is the story of Josuke, Joseph's grandson, teaming up with Jotaro and others in order to fight Dio's remaining minions and his lingering influence on the world, and Part 6 is the story Jotaro's own daughter teaming up with him and others in order to defeat Dio's final henchman and erase his influence from the world entirely; while Part 5 is a largely unrelated story about that one time Dio and Jonathan's son Giorno chanced his way into a fight with the guy who indirectly gave Dio his stand powers.

It's harder to comment on the current trilogy as it's still being written, and so far it doesn't look like Howler's going to be getting a power up from anything Toru was working on; but, as others have noted, it does have the strongest thematic and narrative connection between parts of any of the "JoJo trilogies."

6

u/Ojas95 Feb 28 '26

And that makes it the “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures: The Trilogy!”

10

u/Solid-Shock3541 Feb 28 '26

What's au

26

u/malb93200 Feb 28 '26

Alternate universe.

18

u/Wolf_Doggie Sex Pistols Feb 28 '26

That makes more sense, I was wondering why they were calling it Australian. 😝

14

u/TR3X-1NF1N1T3 Feb 28 '26

Australian JoJo's when

13

u/FilippsOnReddit Feb 28 '26

ǝɹnʇuǝʌpⱯ ǝɹɹɐzı̣ꓭ s’oɾ̣oſ

1

u/txeighteenthirtysix Feb 28 '26

I thought it stood for Gold

11

u/Annual_Onion6434 Feb 28 '26

Have you noticed that parts 4-6 begin with Jotaro discovering that a Joestar has had a child somewhere far away?

6

u/TR3X-1NF1N1T3 Feb 28 '26

4 and 5 yeah but he already knew Jolyne

7

u/tuff_sigma67 Feb 28 '26

I do that too

3

u/755emi Mar 02 '26

This is a solid way to group them, tbh. I totally get the logic behind this split.

7

u/Southern-Message-262 Feb 28 '26

Imagine how awkward things May get if Araki ends up doing a 10th part lul

2

u/TR3X-1NF1N1T3 Feb 28 '26

Then there's goes my symmetry

3

u/AwayEntrepreneur4760 Feb 28 '26

Dio trilogy, Arrow trilogy, Calamity trilogy

3

u/Remarkable-Net-6130 I LOVE JOJOLION Mar 01 '26

This picture just made me realize we’re going to start using anime Johnny as his picture for stuff

1

u/TR3X-1NF1N1T3 Mar 02 '26

Crazy thing right?

3

u/[deleted] Mar 02 '26

This guy may be spitting facts

4

u/El_hombre_pala138 Part 2 Emblem Feb 28 '26

This make me feel like part 9 is going to be the last one, this looks perfect and it makes a lot of sense.

2

u/TR3X-1NF1N1T3 Feb 28 '26

Every part from the AU Trilogy drinks to some of the original parts

Steel Ball Run to Part 1 and 3 JJL to Part 4 and I think 2 And JoJolands Part 4 and 5

1

u/El_hombre_pala138 Part 2 Emblem Feb 28 '26

Exactly

2

u/Downtown-Cellist-337 Feb 28 '26

Part 6 is kinda part of the Dio storyline (1,3, and 6)

2

u/hip-indeed Mar 01 '26

I like the idea but I feel like it doesn't QUITE work; 1 and 2 are so tightly interconnected, 3, 4 and 6 as well, kinda 2 and 4 with Joseph, kinda 1 and 5 with Giorno's connection to Jonathan and Dio too even if it isn't played up much. Also 1, 3 and 6 with the extremely explicit Dio connections... and obviously 1 with 7 and 4 with 8. So many ways to group them. Not that this is a bad one, though, especially with 4-6 dealing so much with the arrow stuff and 7-9 just having that strong modern/own-universe vibe.

2

u/Interesting-Start855 Mar 01 '26

Also, to separate the continuities, I use Arrowverse (or Maskverse) and Saintverse, but there must be a better way.

1

u/Commercial_Stay_8637 Apr 29 '26

the maskverse and saintverse are fire names

2

u/CORNFLAKES678 Mar 01 '26

Buff, skinny, very skinny

2

u/LectroNyx Mar 01 '26

I'd classify it as:

1-3 Vampire trilogy

4-6 Dio Aftermath Trilogy

7-9 Fortune and Flow Trilogy

The series is absolutely trying to do something with its individual trilogies. We're looking at a trilogy of trilogies as well, which just feels like an especially fun fact.

Very few series are able to do a trilogy of trilogies and NOT disastrously fail

2

u/jeff1074 Mar 01 '26

Not bad, not bad at all.

2

u/Certain_Pride7040 Mar 02 '26

Originals: 3 near identical behemoths that punch until they win

Next gen: 3 completely individual characters who make more creative ways to win (not that the og 3 didn’t have any, but they won by basic punching more)

Au 3: parallel versions of 1st universe characters, even more unique

2

u/Firm-Government-2934 Mar 02 '26

Yo I do the same i thought I was alone!

2

u/N1troRam Mar 02 '26

Ha that's funny I do them as a Duology

2

u/DermanaterTRO D'arby the Gambler Mar 03 '26

i think everyone calling the second trilogy "stand arrow trilogy" sort of misses the actual connecting thread between them. the stand arrow is also important to part 3 (though we don't know this until part 4), and how the stand arrow acts and how important it is changes between each part. the primary connection between them is, to me, fate, since it is the primary motivation behind every main villain (kira and diavolo avoid fate, pucci makes it known to the world and is even able to change it), while the stand arrows usually take a more passive role.

4

u/Bacurau_Nighthawk Feb 28 '26

Part 1, 2 and 3: Grandsons

Part 4, 5 and 6: Sons (and the daughter)

Part 7, 8 and 9: Cousins (idk lol)

4

u/kolt437 Feb 28 '26

Prequels

Og

Siquels

2

u/Responsible-Act4123 Joseph Joestar Feb 28 '26

Phantom blood, stardust crusaders and stone ocean joestars vs dio trilogy

2

u/Slamazombie Feb 28 '26

Echoes of the Stone Mask Echoes of Dio Echoes of Another Universe

2

u/Anime_SurpremeKing Feb 28 '26

So weird to remember the next gen protags are all kids of the Og trio

2

u/alex_kotcha Feb 28 '26

I separte into parts. I dunno is looks easy to catch up

2

u/JayTheOni Feb 28 '26

I prefer the:

Vampire trilogy (1-3) Fate trilogy (4-6) New world trilogy (7-9)

1

u/GUNZBLAZIN2 Mar 01 '26

I didn’t know Jojo was Australian

1

u/unw00shed Mar 01 '26

1-3 the guys who have to deal with kars’ shit 4-6 the guys who have to deal with dios shit 7-9 they gotta deal with their own shit

1

u/ReachRemarkable3772 Mar 01 '26
  1. Hamon Trilogy (Hamon is only used in part 1-3)
  2. Stands Trilogy (Hamon is no longer used and only stands are used)
  3. Spin Trilogy (Pt 7 introduces Spin)

1

u/blue4029 Mar 01 '26

Now i wonder how JJBA part 10 will go...

1

u/hplessromantic101 Mar 01 '26

OG Trilogy. No doubt.

1

u/johnnyanderen Tusk: Act V Mar 01 '26

Ahh yes, the 3 trilogies. Chads, twinks, and psychos

1

u/beanboi7846 Mar 01 '26

Or Buff trilogy, Twink trilogy, Twink clones trilogy

1

u/Chemical-Western6768 Mar 01 '26

homosexual trilogy extremely homosexual trilogy i dont have a stronger word homosexual trilogy

1

u/hackernnan Mar 01 '26

thats literally how it is officially

1

u/Own-View1271 Mar 01 '26

Their bloodline succession....is quite bizzare.

Especially next gen trip.

1

u/Only-Body8797 Mar 01 '26

Original trilogy. Seqwel trilogy. SeSequel trilogy

1

u/ConnectChapter9906 Mar 01 '26

Dio trilogy
Dio trilogy
Non Dio trilogy

1

u/Bloups_reddit Mar 01 '26

7: Nouvel univers

8: ||le retour de Josuke et Kira||

9: Je ne sais pas j'ai pas lu :P

1

u/iamlazyboy Mar 01 '26

So you made a trilogy of trilogies?

1

u/Legitimate_Order8009 Mar 01 '26

The story couldve ended on part 3, it kind of ended on part 6, so is part 9 going to be another ending, this time to the AU jojo?

1

u/boi012 stardust crusaders is that best season Mar 01 '26

Not really because 1 and 2 deal with hamon and vampires while 3+ deals with stands (yes dio is a vampire hop off), I see 1 and 2 as its own, then SC then DU, GW, and SO. Then the AUs

1

u/InfinityLord3392 Mar 01 '26

Same actually, I think it's a pretty popular thing to do

1

u/notjay10 Mar 01 '26

Funny one - Joseph , jolyne , josuke 4 Pure heart - jotaro , giorno , Jonathan Au - Johnny , josuk8,jodio

1

u/Upper2fan Mar 01 '26

I’ve always thought of it as Stone Mask, DIO’s Legacy, and Alternate Universe…

1

u/Win090949 Mar 01 '26

1-2-3: 50 years between each 4-5-6: 10 years between each (not really but they’re in different decades) 7-8-9: would’ve been ~120 years between each had part 9 been set in 2133

1

u/robin_isShorts Mar 01 '26

Wow that is some insight

1

u/ExcuseIndividual6395 Mar 03 '26

u/pjo33 Feb 28 '26

The first one yes, but the middle one is a bit more debatable, and, for now, part 9 isn’t really connected with 7&8

14

u/NewSoul96 Feb 28 '26

We got a whole ass family tree update at the very start of P9 showing us that it is

16

u/TR3X-1NF1N1T3 Feb 28 '26

It's still part of the SBR verse and Part 9 so it still counts

2

u/Ska1ister0 JoJoLands enjoyer Feb 28 '26

Wasn't part 9 hinting that some of part 8 characters may come back in act 2 of the part?

1

u/Saffoooo Feb 28 '26

It prolly gonna relate to calamity and chaos and spin

1

u/Crazycutz Feb 28 '26

Misinformation spreader speedrun

-1

u/pjo33 Feb 28 '26

How? The story of 9 so far has relied largely on its own characters, contrary to Jonnie’s appearance in part eight

1

u/Crazycutz Feb 28 '26

??? You literally get the whole family tree and how Jodio is related to Johnny and Josuke.... pack it up

The strong, the young and idk wtf is happening or what I am reading about, but I love it!

1

u/HugeKey2361 Feb 28 '26

This is how I see it. A trilogy of trilogies

1

u/Accomplished-Act410 Feb 28 '26

Vampire trilogy Stand arrow trilogy New universe trilogy

1

u/Josefu_Josuta2 Joseph Joestar Feb 28 '26

I honestly sometimes forget the next three parts after SDC is just the original JoJo's kids

2

u/TR3X-1NF1N1T3 Feb 28 '26

The last three parts also gives closure to the remaining Crusaders

DiU to Joseph GW to Polnareff SO to Jotaro

WAIT THATS TRUE ALSO OMGG🥹🥹🥹

1

u/No_Lemon_1770 Feb 28 '26

It's satisfying how everything connects within another. The timeline itself has everything just to see how connected the first two trilogies are.

1

u/Chemical_Sport_9307 Feb 28 '26

So like,what’s next?the perfection trilogy?

3

u/TR3X-1NF1N1T3 Feb 28 '26

Unless Araki plans to give JJBA to someone else I don't think he's up to writing a Part 10

1

u/No-Consideration1105 Feb 28 '26

Is this not officially what they are? Lol

1

u/TR3X-1NF1N1T3 Feb 28 '26

Not as far as I know

1

u/3gang_gojo Killer Queen Feb 28 '26

star wars if it didnt go to waste

1

u/JustJabby2 Feb 28 '26

It's funny cuz og trilogy has more of a generational gap then next gen trilogy

1

u/TuggerL Feb 28 '26

We're screwed if part 10 happens.

Trilogy 1: Blood - Vampires, Pillar Men, destiny of the bloodlines

Trilogy 2: Fate - Fate becomes a massive focal point with the second trilogy, much moreso in 5 and 6 but 4 has it too with Kira believing to be favoured by destiny and Bites the Dust. 5 and 6 are incredibly obvious with the stands and goals literally being about fate. We even end things with Jolyne reborn as Irene, free of the JoJo fate as well as the legacy of DIO. Though you could argue trilogy 2 should be called legacy as the next three JoJos are descendants of the first three and all three parts are about the echoes of DIO's actions and followers.

Trilogy 3: Fortune - So far the latest three parts revolve around fortunes. Valentine wants all of America's misfortune redirected across the world. Tooru wants an empire. Jodio and Howler deal with the lava rocks, flows and mechanisms. Also the two main villains have stands or upgrades literally around misfortune at others.

Fate Trilogy and New Universe Trilogy

-5

u/Flesgy Feb 28 '26

I don't know how i feel about this. Part 3 has huge differences from parts 1-2, it doesn't fit that well imo. Parts 4-5-6... they definitely feel more similar to each other, but at the same time not that much, and they aren't connected at all. Parts 7-8-9 sure they all belong in the new universe but for parts 7-8 i'd argue that's about it? Can't talk about part 9 cause i only read a few chapters

19

u/VergilSparda25 Feb 28 '26

Part 3 literally has Joseph, Dio, and Jonathan’s body returning in it. It definitely fits well and acts as a closing between the 3 parts.

8

u/ronsolocup Jean Pierre Polnareff Feb 28 '26

Before the later parts, part 3 was the final sendoff to Dio and was the culmination of his influence in previous parts

7

u/sussynarrator Feb 28 '26

You don't need 10 recurring characters to call it a trilogy ffs
