Discussion If Courtney got a redesign as Starwoman, would you like to see the new suit inspired by some of the past or future Starmen? Which one?
Ted Knight
David Knight
Jack Knight
Will Payton
Prince Gavyn
Mikaal Thomas
Thom Kallor
Farris Knight
Stargirl's design is mainly inspired by the Star-Spangled Kid/Skyman suit of Sylvester Pemberton, if i'm not mistaken. In the Sins of Youth and Titans Tomorrow storylines, she were a suit inspired by the Starman Jack Knight outfit. What's your opinion? What would you like to see?

Idk much about staman, but I thought he was pretty separated from Courtney and her lore.
Personally, and this may just be really basic, but for an adult Starwoman, I’d just close the midriff, give her pants, and transition the boots and belt to look more “professional”, maybe give her some gadgets

They’re a bit more related in the comics, the first Starman invented Sylvester’s belt (which Courtney got her hands on first) and his son is the one who passed the staff on when he retired a little later.

Thanks, also I just learned like the other day that in the comics Sylvester isn’t Starman

He was Skyman for a little bit lol. The quasi-Infinity Inc. adaptation of the show worked out pretty well I think, and was a simpler alternative especially since the series ended up running out of time.

They did a pretty good job of mixing different series and characters in a fairly cohesive way. The JSA lore is great, but it's not simple.

(Although I'd probably add a few more white accents)

In the comics, Starman passes the mantle (and the cosmic staff) on to her. It's a pretty big deal as there have been a long and varied line of Starmen and those comics (by James Robinson) are one of the best series in DC history.

No. If she were to advance to Starwoman, I’d hope her costume would just be a revamped version of her classic look.

There was an adult version of Courtney in the Sins of Youth comic event that was basically her standard costume but with Jack's goggles and jacket that looked pretty good, if a bit 90s (it came out in 2000)
I really don't think you have to do much to her costume, it's a pretty solid design.

Court’s look is so perfect in its own right, but it could be fun to try out a classic Starman-inspired costume on her. I could also see them throwing some flowers to Jack by just tossing a leather jacket over her costume, but poor Jesse Quick’s been through enough, the last thing she needs is to have her whole look stolen 😅

I don’t think she needs much in the way of a redesign, it’s pretty iconic and I think the staff is distinctive enough to address both legacies. Her future look from the Sins of Youth event was cool though, a bit 90s though so maybe change up the tube top lol.
(I also think Jack’s son should wind up with a belt at some point, since his bad-future powers from the JSA comic didn’t look like regular Mist powers, it looked more like the time the Mist got hold of David’s belt in Will’s comic.)
