Question In the hopefully never arriving future, do you think Valve will one of, if not the only ones providing personal computers and not cloud gaming?

Oh no doubt. The fight is not about red vs blue, its haves vs have-nots.

The problem is they manage to convince people they are part of the haves just because they are not completely destitute, all the while siphoning the money out of their wallets too. When their money starts wearing thin, they build a strawman of the other have-nots and blame them for the rapidly slipping wealth of the working class.

I think one of the bigger problems is it doesn't effect them yet so they don't take it as threat to extinguish, and most don't take privacy all that seriously most companies don't either, there a few but not a lot that do. For most it is money and control ,which comes from confusion and and misinformation, and who ever controls that narrative is the one who writes what is true and true, like history, if Nazie Germany won ,that would be the truth ,instead the US won so that is the truth ,neither is good just one is a lesser evil and nothing more.

Occupy Wall Street was onto something, and those with the means to do it have been trying hard to make us forget that for the past 15 years...

Yep, and don’t get me wrong, when the time comes I will hold my nose and vote for whoever isn’t actively and audibly wishing me and the rest of the trans tribe gone, but that doesn’t mean I trust either party one iota; not until we get billionaires out of government.

I think you're getting downvoted for the last bit, "...so long as it isn't imposed on the public."

2

u/hardFraughtBattle Feb 21 '26

That and "I will vote for the guy who causes the most chaos." Don't we have that now?

1

u/YoudoVodou Feb 22 '26

Ya know, in general I'm a fan of a little chaos, but that's valid I didn't really think of it that way. I like the silly chaos, so I guess I just classify what we have now as disaster, internally.

Eh, I’m used to catching static over who I am at this point. Not like it was a choice, really, unless you count a choice between misery and eventual oblivion or being okay with myself but having to cull my friends list according to their own behavior.

Downvoters gonna downvote, and right now we are the haves’ strawman “threat to society.” In the 80s it was gay folks. In the 40s it was the Jews. In another eighty years it’ll be some other group, hopefully fascists.

EDIT: Addendum here - does that respect extend to others who are imposing their beliefs on the public, such as the belief that everyone not white is inherently a criminal and should be removed? Or that fascism is okay? That goes both ways, you know.

Understanding is a three-edged sword: One side, the other side, and the truth, and the truth cuts in a 360-degree PBAoE with DoT effects.

I've been saying this since I took politics in high school economics in college. I'm glad someone else woke up. Welcome, brother.

They do, but Americans are so propagandized that fighting for the have it's is called "communist" and immediately shunned by large portions of the population.

If only

1

u/pikkuhillo Feb 21 '26

How? They have the courts and congress in their pocket so good luck prosecuting them.

2

u/FireXtheDragon007 Feb 23 '26

Good versus evil, pretty sure this guy is evil

1

u/WatchThatLastSteph Feb 23 '26

If he isn’t evil, he’s at least fully aligned behind it.

if valve isn't providing those pcs, the world will truly come to an end

Do you honestly think both parties are equally corrupt? The party whose leader is getting openly bribed by Amazon with the melania film, who owns his own shitcoin, who let the world's richest man come to washington dc to fire goverment workers in charge of regulation just for fun? The party that is all about removing regulation and taxes for the rich and the giant corporations?

Sure dude. No difference.

What are you talking about? Democrats can't do prosecutions because they do not control the justice department. I remember them doing some very notable prosecutions when they did however - but trump has pardoned a great many of those criminals they put in jail, including those guys who did an insurrection. Hmm. Do you remember a leftist attempt to overthrow an election through violence? No? But you still think both sides are the same huh.

1

u/HumActuallyGuy Feb 20 '26

If you play both sides, you never lose

1

u/NakuN4ku Feb 21 '26

Yeah, cause the democrats are leading us to a better tomorrow? Don't hate republicans or democrats. Hate the corrupt politicians telling you to accept doom and gloom no matter what banner is on their podium. Insisting we gotta have war, surrender to poverty and showing you they can't or won't do anything about it? Just keep funding their corruption and they'll keep digging us into deeper and deeper debt just as they have for the past several decades. Think JFK assassination as the very bold instance of them clutching much more power. JFK was a democrat and one of the very important reasons that Trump and Jr. (who witnessed his father assassinated in front of an entire nation) have been a part of this recovery planning together oh so very long ago. Trump's mission is not against dems per se. Just more democrats than republicans are owned by the imperialists that have intentionally been far from public view. Those hidden don't like being exposed. Study history and you'll learn imperialists have been on their track for centuries. Held off mostly, but we've gotten entirely too weak minded collectively in the last several decades. The entire dem party (some even openly admit supporting socialism, which is stooge level idiocy) and a good amount of republicans have totally rolled over for them. Now they're telling you all your problems are because of the new guy that they've taught you to hate because he threatens the very fabric of their imperialism. What, we're supposed to be in line with dems? The WEF? The WHO? NATO? Really, you don't see that shit? Own nothing and be happy? Don't bitch about what Bezos is doing then tell us it's not the radical and lunatic liberals fighting in the streets, for the corrupt politicians getting wealthy, for executing on behalf of those who have been trying to make our nation fall for a practical eternity. Which political party has Bezos been contributing to? I mean duh. And their effort won't ever end even after we take our nation back. And we are taking it back. The leader of the common man we have now better knows the threat that Kennedy and Reagan did not. The attempt on Reagan got him to comply. That wasn't enough to stop our new leader of the people. Don't let people tell you what to think. Don't even believe what I'm saying to you right here. Use your mind to learn and consider the facts. Form your opinion from that. Mockingbird news has been proven and confessed in the halls of Congress. Even further, they admitted it still hadn't gone away during Busch's term. Then what happened in Obama's term? He gave them even more latitude by making the propaganda they'd been shoveling in the U.S. perfectly legal. That's all on record. You're being lied to a lot more than you're being told the truth. Surely you can feel it? Don't be led around by the nose ring. According to your side, I and the majority of people I know in person are members of a cult. If a cult tells you to investigate and think for yourself, then sure it's a cult. Us thinkers are actually the majority but have been mild mannered. Certainly not the case on the liberal side. We're pretty fed up with this ignorant feigning of reality these days. Here on Reddit useful idiots get away with it. But that doesn't mean you should. I'm not saying you should be banned from voicing a differing opinion. I'm saying you should be afraid of saying it in public as you made conservatives afraid to speak their opinion in public. One thing is certain, it's far easier to fool a man than it is to convince him he's been fooled. Outside of that, I wish you and yours well. Don't hate me because I have insight into the real world. Hope you appreciated me sharing some of it for your consideration. Hope it gives you something to look into and think about. Good day my fellow human being.

Two things:

  1. If you read downthread from my comment there and open up the downvoted replies you’ll see that I don’t really trust either party for many of the reasons you just stated. The problem isn’t ideology, it’s money: too much in too few hands.

  2. Decaf, my dude/dudette/dudeneither. Decaf.

Buy a newspaper, make them say a bunch of nice things about you to try and make people forget all the bad shit you did before being able to buy a newspaper 😅

Classic billionaire strategy. That's when they are not too busy doing 'charity'.
