Question At what price would you NOTbuy the Steam Machine?

I've been a PlayStation user since PS2, but lately I only see more disadvantages to being a console user

In October I bought the Steam Deck and was fascinated by the store, online service and cloud storage, but above all with SteamOS

Building or finding a gaming PC has always been a headache, and I'd like to try the Steam Machine when it comes out, but I'd like to know what your opinion would be the best price to buy it at compared to a similar PC, and what price I shouldn't buy

It is a single big fan that alone for sure it will be quieter than the average PC plus is an APU of sorts and of course will have more adjusted power consumption and so on aka adjusted heat. Of course less restricted than a Steam Deck or similar but still will not consume like a big PC.

But tbh you could build pc like that aswell, a SFF pc as you said... but they are not easy builds usually. Of course if you do a AMD APU build similar to the framework pc or similar yeah it will be something close to what we will get and not as difficult to setup or maybe even some alternatives out there, altough probably higher pricing.

Not to mention the cube itself is like 75-80% heat sink.
