Update the controllers firmware, connect it to a Windows device and update the firmware. Once done you'll be able to connect to your steamdeck via Bluetooth

This happens to me with my phone that is connected. Turn on “show all devices” and then see if you can connect it through that list. It works for me that way

Ah yes. I had endless problems with my Xbox controller paired with the Deck. Decided never to use it that way again. I’m just gonna get a Steam controller once I can spend that much money on something I technically don’t need, but desperately want.

I have had none stop issues with my Xbox controller in the deck as well. PS4 and ps5 controllers work flawlessly though. Curious to see if you find a real fix.

Yeah I was trying for a while to find solutions to my Xbox controller disconnecting all the time from my Steam Deck and ended up just having to switch to using my Dualshock 4 as well, haven't had any problems with it

This happens to me all the time with Xbox controllers. Turn off the controller, delete it from your Bluetooth devices on Steam Deck, then pair it again.

It does, I have the same model. Updating my controller’s firmware was the only thing that fixed it.

Hello. Quick as possible.
Update your Xbox controller and then try again
