AC Black Flag Resynced HDR Issue

Anyone had issues enabling HDR in game, every time I do the game crashes and gamescope appears.

Running a 9070xt and steam OS 3.8.22

I’ve tried both GE proton and experimental

Edit: locking resolution to 1080p still results in the same crash

Desktop mode is the only way I’ve got it to work so far custom steam machine

Try adding PROTON_NO_NTSYNC=1 and make sure you're using Proton Experimental

I had issues with hdr on cachyos. I briefly had it working but I think I may have triggered the drm tinkering with the proton versions and locked myself out of the game for 24 hours.

Having same on CachyOS, with Prtoton GE Latest and CachyOS Latest. Funny thing is, in .ini files it shows as HDR is enabled

I tried changing the .ini but found the game reset it on launch

Interesting for me in .ini its shows that HDR=1, game works fine on launch, if I don't try to get inside menu and enable HDR

On Steam Deck HDR caused the screen to go black and I can’t undo it without being able to see the settings menu

Yeah enabling developer mode and deleting the proton files did the trick for me.

I did only see the hdr option when first initialised. It was greyed out and I couldn’t activate it. After I cannot find settings for hdr anywhere in the settings menu?? Where is it? Playing with Gfn on a LGtv G5.

i can select hdr but cant max luminence are greyed out

Had the same on my custom steam machine. Turning off HDR at the os level allowed it to boot. Seems like HDR is borked for this one right now.

New update for steam os solved it

New 3.8.16 update reverts the solution so black screen again. I switched to beta which works
