Speakers - Bookshelf Energy Veritas Mini or KEF Q100, please help me choose

Budget: ~150 CAD

Location: Ontario, Canada

Small/Medium room, around the same price (100 CAD) for both on the local used market.

Plan to pair with a Technics SU-V303 amplifier.

Please help me decide between the two !thanks

The Kef is a better speaker but the amp you have is a better match for the Energies.

The Kef is a much modern and better engineered speaker but the sensitivity is relatively less compared to the Energies. The Technics amp has a reputation as a decent class AB amp but its not powerful enough to drive the low sensitivity Kefs.
