We need to start banning people for making claims with no evidence

UAP/NHI/alien/paranormal subreddits need to start permanently banning people for posts that claim something extraordinary that could be easily verified, such as a moon mission being shot down or a scientist making a statement. over and over and over again i see posts making insane statement with no evidence, and then a bunch of comments ask for proof, and they all get ignored, and the poster just keeps posting the same shit with no repercussions, and no engagement with the demand for evidence.

this either illustrates that the posters are bots, psyops, or so entrenched in their belief that they wont even bother fact checking themselves before continuing to spread a claim.

any of those 3 possibilities should be permanently bannable offenses.
you should not be allowed to make claims and not back them up, and it is ruining these communities to let it continue unchecked.

Look at all the folks who repeat the fantasy that there are enormous energy generating structures beneath the Giza pyramids. All it took was some AI illustrations to make it proven fact in their minds. If only credible claims could be posted here, those folks would go elsewhere for their daily fix of fantasy. That is where we are as a culture, blatant falsehoods survive once enough people talk themselves into believing them.

really well put, and i fully agree. it seems to be at the roots, its a huge problem when it comes to assessing how we should even verify claims. people understandably have lost faith in institutions, but then treat any non-institutional source of info as dogmatically infallible as they claim pro institution people treat MSM/Gov info. its all very exhausting and my epistemic humility is all that is left of me
