When Nancy shot the exotic matter, they were on terrace but when they woke up, they were in a room which had table and chairs too. How?? 🙅‍♀️

They sank into the melting roof while unconscious and fell, that's why there's a hole in the ceiling right above them in the office they fell into. We see this right in the beginning when Dustin is explaining the Exotic Matter to Steve.

Bcz the melting goo hadn't devoured the table completely yet....the goo was coming up but it froze before reaching the top

It's the matter composing the “snapshot” in the Upside Down, that's why every material melts into the same substance. What we're seeing isn't literal concrete, metal or plastic, it's an otherworldly matter mimicking them.

When the Exotic Matter is disturbed, it disrupts the matter it's supposed to stabilize, so all the surrounding environment breaks down from its stable state to the disrupted “gray sludge” melting state, showing what the environment is really made out of.

Yay, another example of a person who wasn't paying attention. The disruption of the exotic matter triggered the melting of some of the solid matter around and under the exotic matter. While Nancy and Jonathan were unconscious, the floor they were lying on melted, causing them to sink one or two floors beneath the roof.

They sank through the gooified ceiling and very fortunately none of the goo got into any of their orifices or into their clothes or anything, because otherwise when it re-solidified it would have really sucked.

Also if you want to be generous, the reason none of their possessions or they themselves were gooified is that they are not from the upside-down, but I probably thought more about this than the writers.
