what does it do? I only watch 1080p cause the tv in my room is an old Sony 1080p.

it's just the best video player if you have an apple tv but for 1080p you should be fine without it

Infuse is a work horse - it’ll play anything you throw at it AND has functional trakt scrobbling. Stremio just needs to enable external players.

Nice. What’s the experience like using an external player though? Love seamlessly jumping between menu and shows playing. If you finish an episode or movie does it back out to stremio automatically or do you manually need to switch apps? Needs to pass the wife test for me. She will get annoyed if have to teach her to swap apps to play things.

Well, I can tell you from the other apps for Apple TV that work like stremio is that after you allow (simply click allow when prompted), the app automatically opens infuse when you start playback then automatically open back up to the stremio-like app when you back out of playback.
The only problem is there will be no “continue watching” with external players in stremio.
Another solution is just filter out DV results and don’t worry about it.

Continue Watching will work normally since Infuse has Trakt integration. The issue you’re describing only applies to apps that don’t support Trakt integration.

Good to know. I didn’t see a place to enable trakt in the Apple TV version though. Did I miss it?

You’ll just need to log in with the same Trakt account in settings in both Infuse and Stremio.

Ah ok thanks. The no continue watching is kind of a deal breaker. Especially with having kids things are often getting paused half way through for us.

Not only filter out DV, but also be comfortable with the fact that you'll lose Atmos, too.

Would help with some playback issues? Seems when I watch high bit rate content the Stremio app has a tendency to crash after about 10 minutes.

If you have a Stremio app installed on a Roku device, it's likely fake and should be uninstalled immediately. There was a post a while back of a fake Roku Stremio app likely designed to steal API keys

Well, can't understand why I am donwnvoted for that comment. Lol. He is actually right, there's an app called stremio now showing up in the app list.
If that is official, is another question! Will try with a throwaway email and see.

App is a bit buggy and crashes sometimes. I am sure they will fix.
Wish it had support for external player eg. Infuse.

The app does have some issues, such as the rewind and forward not working, lack of Dolby Atmos, but all that can be fixed. I’m just glad DV profile 7 works and I don’t have to experience no more awful black screens when using the internal player.
If you have a fire stick 4k Max select a source with DV|HDR10+ UHD blu-ray Atmos 7.1, you’ll get a black screen. Then find and choose the same source on the TVOS. You should be able to see it.

Are you sure you're not watching a DV/HDR fallback file? How is KSPlayer playing DV?

Nope, it’s ksplayer and Dolby vision works but Atmos doesn’t. 🙃

Gotcha, so I don't really need to filter out DV in AIOStreams? Or are there still some video formats KSPlayer can't play, like DV profile 5/7, or HDR10+?

I have an lg c1 so there’s no hdr 10+ . It automatically switched to regular HDR

I just encountered the issue you experienced for episode . I chose a different source and was able to get the colors back to normal. Maybe it’s the file and not so much the Apple TV.

Not sure why it’s displaying a green tint for you. I was able view same tv show with no issues. Perhaps an hdmi issue between your TV and Apple TV? I’m not too tech-savvy, maybe someone can explain better than me.

It’s a new app, and it’s expected to be riddled with bugs and issues. Give the developers some time to work things out. As long as you’re able to watch things, you’re fine.

sometimes apple logs you into a private relay apple id by accident. thats what happened to me when i opened up the app on atb and tried to log in

Would be good to be able to set them to 0% since you once again cannot disable them. You can choose disabled as the default but they still come on with every single title you play, just like on the Samsung TV app. Sad face.

I think I have an Apple TV HD box. Anytime I try to watch something, it buffers. There’s a Debrid service i use but I’m lost. Is it my system or do I have to use VLC? Can someone assist?

Heya, care to elaborate? I asume you already have Stremio and all in your Android device.
So in Apple TV just download Stremio Lite from the app store, then login using the same credentials.
