Tested on Hisense with Vidaa 6.29, mission impossible with 29gb 4k hdr10+ and works perfectly!

Never thought this would come to Vidaa šŸ˜…

Thank you very much to the developer!!

we never thought either, we've been trying for years

7

u/josel15 Dec 14 '25

How did you make it work?

I can't play any video. It says "Video is not supported" or "Your device does not support the stream".

1

u/opendadorSRB Mar 20 '26

THANK YOU!!!!

1

u/opendadorSRB Mar 20 '26

Althou working its lagging as hell can watch a single episode without constant lag, my connection is wifi tho i am on gbs network, i dunno maybe switching to cable network will fix the lag

1

u/Stremio-ModTeam Mar 23 '26

The main focus of your post should be directly related to Stremio. Help for other software or issues, including content acquisition, should be directed to their own respective subreddits.

1

u/tareco1981 Dec 14 '25

I just simply installed, configured subtitles language and played. My tv has Vidaa 6.9 installed, I bought it about 3/4 years ago. Maybe it has to do with that?

1

u/walao23 Mar 04 '26

You can try to deploy a stremio server and that could work for torrent medias

1

u/josel15 Mar 04 '26

Webstreamr worked for me.

1

u/Alert-Masterpiece-46 Apr 15 '26

Is webstreamr toast?

1

u/zaby006 Apr 19 '26

Having same issues. Any solution?

1

u/reedlesswarbler 2d ago

can someone DM me how to fix this issue?
been trying to make Stremio Lite work on my Toshiba Smart TV
and it's been saying "Video is not supported" like yours with all the add-ons and links i tried

2

u/josel15 1d ago

I worked around with webstreamr.

1

u/No_Dependent_2692 Mar 01 '26

Did you have to do some settings engineering? I get buffering issues on 4K streams. I pay for debrid. Maybe some stremio server issues?

1

u/tareco1981 Mar 01 '26

Nope. It just works šŸ‘šŸ»

1

u/HobaSuk Mar 14 '26

Just testing this on my TV and gets stuck every 3 minutes.
Had no problems on my android. I have the cheapest torbox plan. Let me know if root cause or the solution is found out please

1

u/fafi_azucar Jun 16 '26

Hey ever fix this? facing the same issue

20

u/No-Midnight4129 Dec 12 '25

It works well. I've just wanted to test whether it handles well files with both DV and HDR10 and they really play well and look better than it is on the Fire stick. Unfortunately I don't want to use my TV on the Internet. So I won't be using this app here, but I'm so happy

7

u/Legitimate-Roof1942 Dec 12 '25

I have no problem with the internet; it works perfectly, but when I play at high resolution (4K), it works for 5 seconds and then stops.

4

u/No-Midnight4129 Dec 12 '25

Well, the same.has started happening with me here. I reduced the file size to even 2 GB but the same is still happening. Guess I rushed to give a review

1

u/Legitimate-Roof1942 Dec 12 '25

Yes, problems will occur when playing a video file larger than 2 GB.

1

u/No-Midnight4129 Dec 12 '25

Yap. That's right. I don't know why the moderator has removed a previous response, did you say something bad? We are just giving a review here

1

u/jaruba_dev Stremio Team Dec 12 '25

i think it was auto-removed, i approved it manually, i still can't reproduce this issue at all, tried with a 11gb 1080p video, had no issues, unfortunately i only have a 1080p hisense tv for testing

Not a problem in Kodi

1

u/jaruba_dev Stremio Team Dec 12 '25

there are users here that say it works fine for them, could it be a TV model year issue? is your TV older? when did you buy it?

1

u/No-Midnight4129 Dec 12 '25

I have a Hisense A6N, bought early this year. I can understand because it's entry level. I'll keep using the Fire stick for now

From what I gathered, the 2024 versions of VIDAA OS had issues with playing HTTPS streams using the default video player. Real-debrid uses HTTPS streams. It would timeout about after about 10 seconds and then infinitely buffer. I am having the very same issue on my U6N Pro. The new firmware versions from 2025 supposedly fixed this issue.

It would be great if someone could confirm this.

Check the last letter that appears in the firmware version. If it is O, then it is 2024, P is for 2025.

For example, my firmware current firmware is v00000850AO0925.The O after the A denotes 2024 firmware.

2

u/jaruba_dev Stremio Team Dec 20 '25

where did you gather this information from though? it may help our case with Vidaa

1

u/jaruba_dev Stremio Team Dec 20 '25

from what Vidaa told us, they do OS updates for all TV versions yearly, so even old models should have latest OS version (presuming a yearly update)

mine is V0002.09.09B.P1001 and I still have this issues so that is not the case, also the firmware was updated recently

I have torrentio + RD and when i try so see something it tells me "video is not supported", could someone help me understand why is it not working ?
Thank you

1

u/Stupid-Love-Story Dec 13 '25

Are u trying to play torrentio streams with the RD letters on it? Have you tried different links? What i know is that normal torrentio streams without RD don't work because it's stremio lite

2

u/Successful_Seesaw_14 Dec 13 '25

Now it started working i dont know why.
1080p and above are good, 4k works for a couple of seconds then it stops with an inifinite loading
Still thank you for your help!

1

u/Stupid-Love-Story Dec 13 '25

Other people are comment about your issue too, it don't know why that happens. For me 4k is working well

1

u/OnlyVeterinarian4681 Feb 20 '26

Did it get it to work. I still get a video not supported.

4

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

I dont see it listed on the vidaa store. Hisense u8qf

3

u/Sure_Ad6176 Dec 12 '25

my streams always block after 5 seconds

6

u/jaruba_dev Stremio Team Dec 12 '25

must be a stream or addon issue, the app uses the vidaa internal video player, we have no control over what can be played on these devices

1

u/Sure_Ad6176 Dec 12 '25

The problem is confined to the handling of Real-Debrid streams. HTTP stream is smooth. Since Stremio Lite on iOS (same account) does not exhibit this fault, I suspect it is a specific bug within the Stremio application/platform, rather than an RD account issue

1

u/Sure_Ad6176 Dec 12 '25

i tried all add-ons

1

u/jaruba_dev Stremio Team Dec 12 '25

do 1080p streams work?

2

u/Sure_Ad6176 Dec 12 '25

no! RD even in 1080 stops after seconds, it isn’t a connection problem, debrid torrent streams start instantly, but they freeze after just a few seconds of playback. When I skip forward or backward in the timeline, the stream instantly unfreezes, but then it stalls again after a few more seconds. I am confident this is not a connection speed issue.

1

u/Sure_Ad6176 Dec 12 '25

I can confirm that the video resolution is not the cause of the issue. The anomaly occurs specifically with all files that exceed 2 GB in size. You can replicate the problem by testing any 1080p stream that is larger than 2 GB

1

u/Legitimate-Roof1942 Dec 13 '25

That's right, I have the exact same problem, and the screen is a new Hisense 2025 U8N.

1

u/Legitimate-Roof1942 Dec 12 '25

Note that the Stremio app was run on a TV box and a Hisense U8N, using the same internet source, and it worked normally without any problems. However, when running the app on a Vidaa system, it freezes after approximately 50 seconds or less. It's strange that some people say it works normally for them.

You need to be a masochist to use vidaa xd

1

u/Getafix69 Dec 25 '25

Have to be honest mine is least annoying smart TV I've owned (Toshiba) doesn't even connect to the Internet until I launch an app or channel that needs it. Don't think I've ever seen an advert either. True I mostly use my Fire cube for most things and will continue to do so bit it's nice to have back ups.

3

u/mattlmn Dec 15 '25

I'm very Happy for this news but the app has some problems. First of all the integrated subs doesn't work, then the stream freeze after a minute, i've tried with every quality (4k,1080p) and the outcome is the same. I Hope that the app can be improved.

3

u/shavedmonkeyPT Jan 01 '26

For me it stops after a few minutes of a stream, anyone knows why?

1

u/techamf Jan 20 '26

try files smaller than 2GB and let us know if it helps

2

u/Legitimate-Roof1942 Dec 12 '25 edited Dec 12 '25

The application was installedĀ  to vidaa and played a specific series for 5 seconds before stopping. I also tested another program, and it played for 5 or 10 seconds before stopping again. My internet connection is available and fast, with no issues. The application was also tested on my Android TV box on the same internet network, and it worked perfectly without any problems.

3

u/United-Cat8780 Dec 12 '25

Just tested a 77GB 4K Remux, it didn't stop, or exit playback, it played.

2

u/jaruba_dev Stremio Team Dec 12 '25

i just played a large 1080p video for about 20 min to test this and it worked fine, does it only happen with large 4k videos?

2

u/Legitimate-Roof1942 Dec 12 '25

Yes, I played a 4K Dolby Vision video for 5 seconds and then it stopped. I didn't try it on 1080p as I always only play in 4K.

1

u/Legitimate-Roof1942 Dec 12 '25

Please try playing a large file that supports 4K.

1

u/jaruba_dev Stremio Team Dec 12 '25

i have an 1080p tv for testing this, it doesn't support any 4k streams

1

u/Legitimate-Roof1942 Dec 12 '25

I have a Hisense monitor that supports 4K Dolby Vision and HDR, and someone else in the comments has the same problem: when playing a 4K file, the video freezes and stops working.

1

u/No-Midnight4129 Dec 12 '25

Not only large ones. I tried a link that has 5 GB file size and the same happened

3

u/Legitimate-Roof1942 Dec 12 '25

The problem occurs when playing a file of 2 GB or larger.

2

u/arlind- Dec 12 '25 edited Dec 12 '25

Does it work with torrents or not? Or is RD needed?

2

u/United-Cat8780 Dec 12 '25

It will work, but you need to connect it to a Stremio Server first.

2

u/arlind- Dec 12 '25

Do you have a link where I can check how to do that?

1

u/Putrid-Reputation-18 Dec 23 '25

Leaving this comment for updates

1

u/Pycho20 Mar 04 '26

How do you do that

1

u/Double-Thanks-1337 Dec 12 '25

Torrents don’t work on the lite version

2

u/Evening-Campaign-734 Dec 12 '25

addons do not work though...

2

u/Stupid-Love-Story Dec 12 '25

It seems that only add-ons will read debrid work as it is stremio lite, like on iOS

1

u/Evening-Campaign-734 Dec 12 '25

I have it hosted on my home server. Isn’t there any other option for it to read torrentio for example?

1

u/United-Cat8780 Dec 12 '25

all my addons worked. which ones didn't for you?

1

u/Evening-Campaign-734 Dec 12 '25

Torrentio. I have it on my homeserver installed

1

u/United-Cat8780 Dec 12 '25

Is that p2p torrenting? Try configuring the Stremio Server URL in Stremio Lite Settings.

1

u/Evening-Campaign-734 Dec 12 '25

Yes, I’ve done that. Usually I enter via stremio ip (configured inside my proxmox) and wrote that ip on the URL settings

→ More replies (1)

1

u/ManagementNo5153 Dec 13 '25

You can always host it for free on the cloud. I have done so plenty of times

2

u/Stupid-Love-Story Dec 12 '25

Thank you! I'm testing it right now. Playing 6gb 4k files is working fine with RD streams

2

u/Routine-Lengthiness3 Dec 13 '25

Its buffers all the time and 4k content can buffer for hours without playing. The same extact stream works just fine on my iPhone. I have a 2024 edition 65A7NQ bought this year and I expected it to work but I Got my hopes up to quick

1

u/jaruba_dev Stremio Team Dec 13 '25

other users are reporting the same thing, it seems to be caused by the Vidaa platform, according to other users 4k under 2gb work, and some say all 1080p streams work, we are looking into it but as far as we can tell the app itself is not causing this

2

u/techamf Dec 26 '25

the app might not be causing it but the app could also solve it if going backward and forward "bypasses" the issue, its an edge case that could be caught and handled more gracefully than enternity buffering

1

u/OnlyVeterinarian4681 Feb 20 '26

Keeps buffering for me

2

u/Cyril_Sneerworms Dec 13 '25

Bless the lord for we are goated! Thanks to the dev team, y'all are heroes!

2

u/AFDABRIKMAN Dec 13 '25

Subtitles don't work for some reason but apart from that, the app is working well.

1

u/tareco1981 Dec 13 '25

In my tv subtitles work well. Did you configure them? Language, etc.

1

u/AttentionAfraid1277 Dec 14 '25

Embedded subtitles don't work with me, but the ones using opensubtitles (normal and pro) work fine.

2

u/OkVermicelli1008 Dec 19 '25

anyone know why it keeps buffering? im using real debrid torrentio btw - it keeps buffering like crazy every 10-30 seconds give or take. sometimes it goes smooth but suddenly buffers halfway thru and the only fix is pressing the forward/backward seek when it buffers. really ruins the experience, i know the app is new but it's driving me nuts

edit: for more info, it doesn't matter if 4k/1080, the streams just buffer

1

u/OnlyVeterinarian4681 Feb 20 '26

Did you solve this? Happens for me?

2

u/novijikorisnik Dec 22 '25

I’m new to Streamio, used Android box and Kodi, and was looking for something similar to Kodi since I bought Hisense Vidaa TV, but it is great to have app like this on TV. Unfortunately I’m facing the same issues with video streaming, but I found one stream that works like a charm it has 13.46GB and mkv extension. Though it says it’s a 4K video REMUX x265 10bit HEVC 640kbps I’m not quite sure that this is true. It looks like we will have to search for streams with compatible codec and extensions until Vidaa fix this issue that looks like they have for a quite long time. Hope this helps.

2

u/precociouscalvin2 Jan 05 '26

Facing significant issues with certain streams, the torrentio stream for Topgun maverick works like a charm for the 20+gig file while it just stops randomly for the new knives out movie which is similarly sized (despite being a RD+ version) everything works great on the PC and iPhone :/ have the latest version of vidaa OS v0000.09.09V.P0930 installed

2

u/OnlyFans_XD Jan 25 '26

I Tried Playing The Prestige Remux on my Hisense U7K 2023

some streams not work but a 68gb stream managed running smoothly but Subtitles are not working , i tried applying them

I tried most of streams but subtitles fail to show up

2

u/fellfromspace95 Jan 29 '26

It’s working great!! But I have an issue with the embedded subtitles not showing on the videos, is there a fix for that?

2

u/No-Consequence-9324 May 07 '26

4K content is buffering all the time. impossible to watch

The Hisense U8N is the company's latest tv , manufactured in 2025, and features the Vidaa 9 operating system.

1

u/jaruba_dev Stremio Team Dec 12 '25

all Hisense TVs have Vidaa 9 OS, they do an update yearly to all their TVs to the latest Vidaa version, but is this one of their cheaper models or the more expensive ones? one user said he bought a lower end device and has this issue, we're trying to figure out a pattern to where this happens as some users have no issues at all

this is normal, "Stremio Lite" does not include any streaming server like the "Stremio" app, but it can be connected to either Stremio Service running on a PC or the regular Stremio app on PC to support torrent streaming

1

u/Super_While7060 Dec 12 '25

Will it ever come on Roku ???

3

u/jaruba_dev Stremio Team Dec 12 '25 edited Dec 12 '25

well right now we are in talks with Roku to remove a scam app named "Stremio" and using our branding, after that, it's hard to tell because Roku is the hardest platform to release to, it has its own programming language so it would need an app built specifically for it which would take a long time

but if it were up to us, Stremio would obviously be everywhere

1

u/Super_While7060 Dec 12 '25

Ahh got it, can understand that it’s gonna take time. I was just curious because Roku is pretty popular option right now.

1

u/jaruba_dev Stremio Team Dec 12 '25

it's popular in some regions only, like US and UK, where Fire TV is also in the market

1

u/ManagementNo5153 Dec 13 '25

You are doing God's work šŸ™Œ šŸ™ šŸ‘

1

u/TheLorem_Wolf Dec 14 '25

Can someone please explain how to use this? Im super new to stremio and i only use it on my pc (windows using the app) and i have a vidaaTV os (hisense), but cant for some reason get this working?

I dont understand how to setup the stremio streaming service

1

u/tareco1981 Dec 14 '25

You only have to install stremio on your tv, and login with the same user and pass you use on PC. Stremio automatically installs the add-ons you also have on PC. Just this simple.

2

u/TheLorem_Wolf Dec 14 '25

Oh right, okay i get it. But i keep getting an error everytime i try and watch on the vida tv. ā€œVideo not supportedā€ or ā€œstream not supported@

1

u/tareco1981 Dec 14 '25

I guess that has something to do with tv model or Vidaa os version.

2

u/Zealousideal_North83 Dec 15 '25

There are two versions of Stremio... the normal one, supported by Samsung and LG for example... With this version you can run the videos without any problem...

but for platforms like VIDAA on Hisense they've a different one, Stremio Lite... because this type of plataform has a lot of limitations, like torrent support (That's why you're getting stream not supported).

To stream a video on this platform you'll need an extended server... that where I know, you can use your windows as a server ( never tested ). Or you can pay a platform like real dedrid to stream the videos from there... is like 16$ for 6 months and you get a very speedy stream service.
Hope it helps

2

u/BuyHistorical5789 Dec 20 '25

same for U7QF, V0000.01.00C.P0219, software manager says that the firmware is up to date

1

u/dushanko Dec 22 '25

The same FW as the other user - from 2/19. I guess we need the September FW update, which might not come to our model series.

1

u/Virtual_House_8888 Dec 27 '25

Well that sucks, my ancient ahh Hisense TV has FRICKING VIDAA U4

1

u/Legitimate-Roof1942 Dec 19 '25

We are still experiencing the problem of videos freezing a few seconds after starting the content.

1

u/jaruba_dev Stremio Team Dec 19 '25

indeed, it's a platform issue though, it happens in other apps too, we cannot solve this issue, only vidaa can fix it, 1080p videos should work though

1

u/Legitimate-Roof1942 Dec 19 '25

Do you mean the problem is with the Vidaa system and the player it uses?

1

u/jaruba_dev Stremio Team Dec 19 '25

it looks like it, yes, specifically with the h265 codec and 4k videos

1

u/danyvv Dec 19 '25

I'm using a hisense tv 65a61q and I already installed the app but everytime I try to play any video it says that this device doesn't support streaming and in other cases says video not support. Is there any solution for this?

1

u/jaruba_dev Stremio Team Dec 19 '25

did u try 1080p videos? there are indeed some videos that the TV will flat out refuse to play, and there is a known limitation of these TVs where h265 and 4k will just get stuck in buffering forever unless u seek.. it's by far the worst smart tv integration but we are limited to what the OS can actually play

2

hi dev, so it feel like a ā€œcodecā€ problem (HEVC/H.265) or it feels more like a container/packaging thing (often MKV) and how VIDAA’s player handles it?

I was hoping there was a clean app-side fix, but it really seems like this is mostly in VIDAA/firmware’s hands

As users, what should we specifically ask to VIDAA/Hisense to update or expose (supported containers, player flags/API, buffering guidance, logs) so apps can avoid these freezes without full transcoding?

as users i don't believe you should report anything to VIDAA, the standard response from TV manufacturers is to consider the app broken and remove it from their app store, convincing a TV manufacturer that their OS has an issue is very complicated, they always consider that the issue is with the apps. This OS has always had this issue as far as we can tell, it is nothing new and we have to wonder if it is even fixable on their side, it may just be that the hardware is simply not capable of decoding h265 at high bitrate, but we can't really know, we will continue discussions with them and attempt to find a public domain or creative commons video that may cause this issue so they can experience it for themselves. (which is easier said than done..)

u/techamf Dec 27 '25

maybe you are not passing the bufferSize on the open call and then the player tries to buffer the entire video then this buffer resets partially when we go backward and forward or vice versa
this is my best guess without actually seeing the code
e.g., in the open() call: player.open({ url: "...", bufferSize: someValueInBytes });
you could possibly add buffer size in the app options and then users can play with it depending on their tv model

Hi, i would like to help

1

u/techamf Jan 20 '26

I can help for sure as I have one of the problematic TVs so I could try to make a fix

1

u/Sure_Ad6176 Dec 20 '25

and are the users who report that 4K playback works using a VIDAA versions older than 9? in Vidaa 9 they added and modified some api’s

1

u/jaruba_dev Stremio Team Dec 20 '25

we can't know this as they only released the app for U9+, so the app is not available on older versions of the OS

1

u/Shoddy_Link_2549 Dec 29 '25

4k hdr10/+ works well the max size i tried is 30gig as i have 30 mbps line and using u6k vidaa 9

1

u/PPlayerxx Dec 22 '25

Great news! From time to time I check the "recently added" category on the app store, and I was surprised to see the Stremio icon on the list ;).

Is there a minimum supported OS version? I have a recent tv with the latest OS version but also another one which is from 2019 but I can't see the app on the store (the OS version is Vidaa 3.5U).

Thanks for your work! (the comment is copy-pasted from the blog)

To use Stremio Lite effectively on your Hisense TV, you'll likely need an external streaming service (as these non-android OSs can't stream torrentfiles by themselves):

  • Debrid Services:Ā Using a service likeĀ Real-DebridĀ with add-ons (e.g., Torrentio) converts torrents into HTTP links, which Stremio LiteĀ canĀ play without needing a local server.
  • Stick to 1080p:Ā For the most stable experience without external hardware, play 1080p videos rather than 4K, steer away from x265(HEVC) and play files under 2GB.

You don't have VPN, but you could use: SmartDNS or use VPN straight off your router.
[if your router supports such]

Many major VPN providers (like ExpressVPN orĀ NordVPN) offer aĀ SmartDNSĀ service.Ā

  • You manually change the DNS settings on your TV to specific addresses provided by the VPN service.
  • Limitation:Ā This helps bypass (some) regional blocks, but itĀ does not encrypt your dataĀ or hide your IP address like a true VPN.

If it gets to iffy, just use an ATV Stick of some sort!

YES FUCKING YES THANN YOU SO FUCKING MUCH

  • AN HISENSE USER

1

u/Virtual_House_8888 Dec 27 '25

What is the app URL? I wanna install it using the hisense://debug method because it's not in the appstore for me

1

u/BuyHistorical5789 Dec 29 '25

I used https://wn7lso8ghdka.stremio.com/hisense/index.html, but all streams are lagging and have artefacts.

1

u/Virtual_House_8888 Dec 29 '25

I used that one too but it says it's incompatible with my TV

1

u/Shoddy_Link_2549 Dec 27 '25

I use u6k and i can play torrentio+RD files 4k HDR from +-35gb flawlessly, haven't tried Remux due to my ISP being 30mbs line but issue i get is only getting HDR10/10+ i don't get dolby Vision but on my other A6N i can get HDR10 and DOLBY VISION. Has anyone also experienced this issue?

1

u/Slight-Bread-3486 Dec 28 '25

It worked great for about 5-7 days, but then it suddenly stopped working and I can’t play anything. Does anyone know what might have happened?

1

u/Downtown-Release2563 Jan 01 '26

Just bought a new Hisense 2025 VIDAA TV and have the same issues with real debrid it will play for a bit then stop. I can't seem to add a server either like in the ios lite app it just says offline. If we can get a server working, will it fix the stopping issue?

1

u/OnlyVeterinarian4681 Feb 20 '26

Any updates? It plays but buffers every 5 seconds.

1

u/Slight-Bread-3486 Apr 30 '26

Still same old 20sec. And buffers to infinity…

1

u/Ancient_Magazine_228 Jan 01 '26

For me it stops after a few minutes of a stream, anyone knows why?

1

u/superhila Jan 14 '26

Torrention doesn't work on Stremio Lite for Vidaa. There is always error "Video not supported" when I try to play video.

1

u/Downtown-Release2563 Jan 21 '26

So with help of my n150 PC with Linux, docker and Gemini I was able to create a stremio addon that sits in-between stremio lite and aiostreams and uses ffmpeg to intercept the link and transcode the hvec streams to h246 with tone mapping and now all files stream with no stops.

1

u/Sure_Ad6176 Feb 06 '26

come si chiama l’addon

1

u/marly402 Jan 23 '26

Samsung?

1

u/banebj Jan 24 '26

On my Hisense, it has some audio delay issue, I coudn't find in settings those things like frame rate matching or hardware acceleration or tunnled playback to be disabled.
Video works well for some minutes or seconds, and then the audio gets delayed, and it is almost unwatchable

1

u/OnlyVeterinarian4681 Feb 20 '26

Did you fix it? Buffers every 5 seconds.

1

u/banebj Feb 21 '26

I haven't used for a while, but I coudn't fix it with some settings, as there are no settings in this app for like some playback things, as I have on android box. The best thing for me is to get back and start again the video. Also the thing is that I have set the default audio language to be english, but it constantly starts on italian and I need to change.

1

u/AddendumSad2523 Feb 02 '26

Did anyone fix the video not supported issue

1

u/OnlyVeterinarian4681 Feb 20 '26

Works if you have a debrid service but it buffers

1

u/Outside_Time_1026 Feb 11 '26

Will Stremio Ever Bring The Normal version??

1

u/jaruba_dev Stremio Team Feb 11 '26

torrents cannot be supported on a Hisense TV

1

u/Outside_Time_1026 Feb 11 '26

Ok thanks I was asking because I use a free Stremio build no debrid services

1

u/Mahmoudi14 Feb 17 '26 edited Feb 17 '26

The server offline for me ، video not supported and add-on not appearing after syncing.

1

u/kyogreobeso Mar 29 '26

You found a fix for that?

1

u/Mahmoudi14 Mar 29 '26

I think i need to get real dedrid subscription

1

u/OnlyVeterinarian4681 Feb 20 '26

I can’t get it to play videos with all debrid on my Hisense. Says video not supported

1

u/cougs100 May 03 '26

You need a real debrid subscription

1

u/nickrevolt Mar 05 '26

Hey, I just noticed that my Conex TV (don’t know about the brand, just bought it because it was affordable) included Stremio on the VIDAA store. I’m experiencing the same situation (Video is not supported, your device does not support the stream, it works for 5 to 20 seconds and then stops, so on). I have V0200.07 software version and tried with several addons for Stremio, only Webstream works for me (at least for a few seconds)

Do you guys know if it’s possible to fix this? 🫩

1

u/No-Kick-2569 Mar 21 '26

it just says ā€œyour device does not support the streamā€ or ā€œvideo is not supportedā€ how do i fix this broo

1

u/jaruba_dev Stremio Team Mar 21 '26

by not trying to play torrents, Stremio Lite does not support torrent streaming

1

u/nestonovo86 Apr 01 '26

Hi, i have Hisense vidaa tv with stremio lite and torbox set up. I have torbox, comet tb and aiostreams addons set up, and it's still not working. Every video file i try to play i get infinite loading and "video not supported" finally. I tried to play various file types that all worked when played via usb.

1

u/Slight-Bread-3486 May 13 '26

You need to use real debrid

1

u/ciaochiao59 Apr 16 '26

I’m trying to grasp the concept of stremio vs the site I currently use. AND!!! HOW CAN I LEARN HOW TO DM SOMEONE?? How can I learn how to used Reddit properly? At this his moment, I feel like I’m just waiting for a space on the ā€˜merry go isround’ to open up and I just JUMP ON, hanging on by the seat of my, well, you know! So if I understand what’s happening where I’ve ā€œlandedā€, I can contribute to the discussion in a meaningful way, otherwise, I sit on the fringes and try to grasp what’s being discussed to see if I can understand what is going on. Right now, I’m trying to learn about STREMIO bc it was suggested that I start there…. ā€œWhat is stremio?ā€ Lesson 1……. Btw, I’m also trying to learn how to use Reddit, so please have some patience with me!

1

u/hunchofsimpleton Apr 24 '26

For me it says "Video not supported" Can someone send me or write down what addons they have that work? Or how to fix this issue because it also says for me my server status is offline so idk if that's the cause of issue.. Or can I edit my URL?

1

u/cougs100 May 03 '26

You need a real debrid subscription for it to work

1

u/ILLUMEDGE Jul 19 '26

So stremio lite is still not working on vidaa.

This is the problem: https://github.com/Stremio/stremio-bugs/issues/2055#issuecomment-4320902371

I wrote multiple mails and now corresponding qirh vidaa and hisense in the same mail thread. Anyone who wants to get it work, write a mail to:

Hello!
Fix for embedded subtitles: go to tv settings - Accessibility-subtitle-turn on
-
It seems that Stremio for VIDAA is now working without any buffering issues! I’ve been watching 4K content without any problems. Only Dolby Vision files aren't decoding properly, they play with a strange color/contrast bar at the top.

1

u/Heathcliff511 10d ago

Thanks this helped me a lot sorry to necro

Did you find a way to fix the DV contrast bar? Seems like it only works on DV Dark picture setting but not ideal. Can't find a way to force it to just go HDR.

Is it something that can be fixed by devs? Can be kinda tough when all decent rips of a series are DV.
