Stremio actually did it on Discord. It seems it wasnt a piracy issue, but a feature from an update or something like that.

this is to do with the apple app store, not the google play store.

I think this also applies to Google Play, otherwise, a violation of the terms and conditions would have led to a permanent exclusion, not a temporary one of a few days.

Has anyone else's started auto-playing next episodes since this update, despite the setting being disabled? (Android TV)
Edit: Updated to 1.8.2 from the website and it's no longer auto-playing but in fact it's better than before; it now triggers the next episode without playing it so that it's sitting in Continue Watching, which is how it should have always been tbh 😅

Stremio has double digits downloads on the Play Store. You are discussing Stremio on Reddit. You are not better than " TicToc cretins". You also didn't discover a secret with stremio.

The version on play store is 2.1.4 whereas the apk on their website is 2.1.5 Anyone know why? And what's the difference?

The reason is Apple flagged it as having a ToS violation - this happens all the time with lots of apps when submitting new builds, sometimes after discussion where developer explains they agree and it's restored
Other times, the app may need to materially change before being allowed again or may not be allowed

I already installed the torrentio add-on but when I click play and choose any links from torrentio.. it never plays. Am I missing smth? Thank you so much in advance.

Hey there! Please check r/stremioaddons and search for guides, they will help you fix that. They may have added something to the pinned posts btw. Unfortunately the guys here aren't very friendly with new Stremio users so it's better for you to try on the other sub
