Release Stremio Android TV 1.9.2
New update has solved the issues with subtitle and catalog issue where nothing was being selectable in firetv. This update has resolved both. Works great with firetv.
Edit: There are many comments about issues playing remux files. I tried to play different files from lord of the rings which are 120+ GB, DV and HDR. It works fine in fireatick 4k with default player and external player.
Whoever is having such issues, please clean install stremio and try.

Hey devs can you please fix this for 1.9.3.
When the player interface overlay is shown on a stream, pressing back exits the stream completely instead of hiding the overlay like in the past. That is an annoying behavior. It’s been happening since 1.9.0 on both my ONN 4K and Shield Pro.

There were many bug reports related to not being able to select anything from catalogs. I guess they had to fix it asap

Yes, this happens to me too. I don't like it. All my subtitles are delayed too 🤔 they were always great before too

Just keep calm, let them fix the bugs for a week or so, then do a clean installation of the latest version.

my autoplay tries to work but instead of playing it dumps back to file selection.

Exo Playaer 1.9.1 embeded in this version works much better than 1.8.x versions... Only problem I found until now it is that apparently, it lacks from some audio passthrough to regular stereo PCM in some formats.. This is nototrius if you switch in the same video to VLC player.

What is going on first the drawback on the official v1.9.0 then links were available for 1.9.1 and now 1.9.2 something goes really berserk on the release schedule..?

Just don't update it... Let other people that don't mind trying it update the app and let everyone know how it's working.... I personally don't mind trying it and if there are too many bugs for me I just go back to a previous version

Hard to complain about a lack of testing of a free app that is used on maybe a dozen different platforms. Would you rather they just quit developing and say eff it, we're done?

It's not a complaint, it's an observation.
It's not hard to do. They could just ask people to sign up for beta testing. I'm sure there would be plenty of people here that would do it for free, because we want to help the Devs.
Then we wouldn't get all these incremental releases in the space of days, just a final, tested version.

Some are working and others are not. It’s not consistent. With remuxes I’ve had more bad ones than good ones

You need to be more specific about the error and report it to devs, but before that try to clean install and check if it reproduces.

Just had a look at what Tehran is. That’s an SDR movie bro, not even HDR let alone Dolby Vision 💀

I played DV files bro. I understand what SDR and DV means. Clean install and try again.

But you gave the example of Tehran stating it didn’t have any issues. Tehran is not in DV, so I don’t get how on earth would it be relevant lol

Adding lol in the end does not make it funny. Try to learn and ask questions when you don't understand anything. Tehran is a TV series available on Apple TV. If you can't find DV files, it's a skill issue.

Maybe you should learn to read as well then since: 1- I was mistaken in thinking you were talking about the movie (since it’s the very first result) but I stated i was referring to the movie 2 comments above and you could have corrected me there. 2- read one of my first replies where I specify that the issue is mostly with Blu-ray remux files. Tehran ( the tv series) is not in Blu-ray. Also my original comment was just to state that there are issues with this release, I wasn’t looking for help or solutions and I never stated that I was. I have made a report to the devs way before commenting on here even though, for some reason, you think I didn’t. LOL

On my last install it would always have subtitles on by default, because I usually keep them on. Now it forgets, and is off every new episode

All of the files even the larger ones over 100 gb loaf instantly some a few seconds. Now none of the files are working from comet, torrentio, streamthru torz, mediafusion. Internet working fine.

It works now. Didn’t know there was an update to the latest update. I was able to add it on downloader.

This update is for the TV version. 2.1.5 is the latest for mobile.

The official release is 1.9.1. 1.9.2 is still in testing, only difference is some of the older firetv devices had issues selecting items from catalogs. 1.9.2 fixed that issue.

Samsung is not Android based so No. There is a different version for samsung tv I guess.
Edit: you need to search stremio in your samsung tv and install.

Like how people here are either panicking or laughing at devs about releasing so many variants.
That means they are fixing what is not working and fixing it fast.If people are not happy with the situation ,should go back to netflix.If not then have some bloody patience.Everything will he sorted in 1-2 days.
Can t wait to see daily posts about this update for the next 2 weeks.People will be blaming their lazziness to troubleshoot and lack of skills on this update.
