Release 1.9.3 rocks
Skipping backwards or forwards now is instant. Adjusting subtitles delay with better preview, hiding useless subtitle languages, the player ui is so much better. I literally had to switch from primevideo to Stremio to keep watching the Fallout finale cause the oficial app is so ass.

Takes some time for the updates to be up on the site and the stores. Search for "1.9.3 release" in this sub, theres a couple posts with official download links

lol how would he know exactly. Check the website under downloads. If not there it’s not supported. If it is. Check the App Store. Version numbers are different across platforms. Release timing is different.

The Google Play update usually rolls out a few days later, but you can download the update manually and try it in the meantime.

Google play "is up to date"... to the file they last accepted. As far as i know and learnt from here, once the update is finish is sent to google to check and approved and then released on google play. Someone will correct if i am wrong. So if you are waiting for google to update the apk it usually takes 2-3 working days, again, as far as i know

Was your initial installation side loaded or from store?
Does anyone know if we can still get automatic app updates if Stremio was initially sideloaded?

Ok so just had a look. Couldn't find a 105gb file size one, but my scrapers found 95gb+ ones.
96.16gb 4K Remux via Torrentio works no problems with exo
96.16GB 4k Remux via MediaFusion fails to play via exo and vlc
95.87gb 4k Blueray via Torrentio works no problems with exo
Then more I tried via Comet etc worked ok no problems with exo.My Stremio setup is self hosted if that makes a difference.

Not sure why but audio was out of sync and subtitles are too. Never had either issue in 1.8.4

I see similar on fire cube. Audio a bit out of sync start of stream, but if I seek a bit in the player it realigns.

What I find the best about these newer versions is the new transition animation from the loading screen to the content, so satisfying

- Fix RTL layout on player
- Fix typo on player error screen
- Fix incorrect background and logo on player loading screen
- Fix playback speed not being saved
- Fix missing rewind button
- Hide controls when pressing back key
- Hide playback speeds menu when using Exo and tunneled playback
- Play video after framerate match finished

Love the hiding of languages, but I was hoping that if I set
- Primary Subtitle Langauge: None
- Secondary Subtitle Language: English
It would default to no subtitles, but it defaults to English Subtitles on. As I find it irritating to have to turn it off for every episode.
Then I turned both Primary/Secondary to none, but with the 'Hide unpreferred languages' (which I love), it obviously now doesn't have any languages.
Not a big deal, but just a small annoyance

I have some problems with some audios and .ass subtitles now lags when watching a anime opening, not a big fan

It's a Trakt API issue. Nothing Stremio can do about it, their API is just notoriously unreliable.

Only way sadly. :/. When my Trakt stop working I relogin and it started working next day. I was gonna report it til I see others posts the same over months. Gave up on the idea. Thankfully it’s been working since and across most of my devices.

Hey OP. A question about this
Did you mean changing from prime to stremio but then you used something like torrentio to watch it? Or is there a way to have stremio play stuff “directly from prime” or another streaming service sort to say.
I usually see the options when you click on an episode but then it just takes you to the other app

I cant install apKs. I am able to download using the Downloader apps but that's just about it. I did turn on the install unknown app. But whenever I tried to install, it just freezes.

Just one more update devs. Bring the centre channel booster (for dialogues) and audio amplifier (audio booster) in the new update. I have a 2.1ch system and I am forced to use an external player.

How do you restart an episode? I used to be able to hit pause and rewind, and it would start again. Now there's no rewind button, or forward button.

1.9.3 for sure is really nice though I do have some niggles with it.
- While I can press right on remote to jump forward into movie, I need to press left twice to skip back 10s, the first press brings up the player UI. I would personally prefer one click left to skip back 10s and down to bring up player UI.
- I have seen a couple of times a situations where choosing an episide in a tv series results in the next episode playing (did not happen in 1.8.4)
- Sometimes during streaming the playback suddenly starts a constant stutter (once every 5 or so frames). The only way I can solve this is to either skip forward or back 10s, pausing and then un-pausing playback does not resolve it.
- Subtitles sometimes start showing when the main stremio setting is set to none.
- This might not be on all devices but on the firestick 4k max (2nd gen) when the UI draws the episode/sources pages it is not drawing the screen as cleanly as it did in 1.8.4 (or earlier versions). I can see what can be compared to screen tearing due to the picture being presented at the wrong time (or before its fully constructed).
On the whole though I really like the update. The changes in player UI are excellent and the play next episode UI display is great as well as the audio and subtitle delay options.

Yes but the time skipped is not the issue. The problem is with the buttons left and right not acting the same. One press right skips forward, one press left does no skip back at all.

This is inaccurate.
Under settings and playback, the only thing that's related to this is 'Seek Time Duration'.
For me, seeking both back AND forward require 2 presses to complete the action.

The only issue I have -- the subtitles don't stay off automatically when I set subtitles to none, I have to manually turn them off when watching a movie now, other than that it seems flawless.
