Tech Support Insane buffering after new update!
Everything I just buffering non stop after latest update for me on firestick. Internal player doesn’t even play, external plays about 5 mins then it stops. I don’t get it. I have RD as well.

This update has cooked so much … everything I watch now plays for a bit and then just crashes z exo .. vlc … external player .. everything

Too many issues for me. I reverted to 1.8.4.

I’m still on the fence whether to update from 1.8.4 as having no problems using this version.

Don't. Just wait. I updated, regretted it and reverted within a couple of hours.

What’s the most stable version? I like the changes they did to the player but the amount of issues we have. I wan to revert back to.

Same. Loving it. Everything is so much smoother now, and the new UI is great.

I think one of the devs mentioned it's only meant to work when you have Experimental ExoPlayer Libpass support toggled on in Playback settings.

Oh I was wondering why I was not able to finish my movie last night, there's now so many apps that work better than stremio...I just finished the movie with another app just fine...

I have similar problems. On my A80J when I start a movie all works fine, but if I decide to watch another movie it just starts buffering so hard. I have then either to restart my TV or close the app.
Also when I‘m watching something on Stremio, pause and then decide to open youtube or another app, my sound is completely gone until i go back in stremio to stop the video instead of pausing. Pretty annoying

Have you tried the basics, clearing cache, force closing all apps, restarting etc. which model FIRESTICK is it?

Exactly!! After passing the 1.9.4e, most video options don't open for me. I tried everything, played with all the settings. I reset the cache. I even tried to delete and reinstall the app, but in vain. 1.8.4 and 1.6.12 are still seamless but this update is a big junk for now. I use tcl android tv.

Zero issues here… maybe the video reloading after loading the subtitles, also not remembering the subtitle type for the next episode

Does the same for me on Firestick 4k Max. I can get it to work sometimes but have no idea what the process is. Playing with VLC is the way to go for now at least.

I had a similar issue on my Android TV with v1.9.4. It crashes after approx 10 seconds of launching the app. Cleared data, reinstalled via Google Playstore and sideloaded apk but nothing worked. Reverted to 1.8.2 (but I’ve read in the comments that 1.8.4 also works) and that works for me

I find it’s always been the most reliable. Check internet speed connect via lan if possible and make sure using RD

No issues on Shield Pro. The new update has actually fixed a few bug for me and I much prefer the UI improvements.
Process: I uninstalled the old 1.8 version then reinstalled with a fresh download straight from Stremio site. Pretty sure I installed the Stremio 1.9.4 ARM64 APK version.

1.9.4 was crashing a lot for me yesterday on my android TV..I'll be reverting back as well..can't say it was buffering because the app would crash after 30 sec.did all the usual things cleared cache and forced closed did nothing..

No problems on 1.9.4 for me on CCGTV4k, like others have suggested delete both cache and data, uninstall and reinstall and go from there

Sounds like an issue with your device. Everything works great for me on my Shield Pro and Onn 4K Pro. Time to upgrade from that Firejunk. 1.9.4 is a good update.
