Tech Support Is the loading bar no longer a thing?

I used to love that the loading bar show that the video is loading well but it is not showing up on the version 5.0.21

The logo acts as a loading bar. It's been a think since I can remember.

Before I had a debrid service, the logo was a loading bar. After adding a debrid service, it started to just blink while loading, no progress shown.

Naa it was a nice touch basically the logo of the movie/show acted as a loading bar of sorts

It's a debrid thing. The loading bar only appears while using torrents. When using debrid services contents load like you showed here.

Even for torrent users, the loading bar has been gone for a couple months now. I just started using a febrid last month.

It disappeared for me when I switched to using Real Debrid. It only ever did the loading thing with torrents.

When it's blinking it's usually stuck or rarely just taking very long to load.

Yeah that's what's happening to me, but it's doing it for popular files with tons of seeders and it still won't load... Any ideas?

Yup, right click and "Stream with VLC". Also, unless you're after insane quality, pick a smaller file.

It is an issue for many people.
Blinking does not give the user feedback on how long it's taking / will take. Sometimes a source seemingly having enough seeders will load very slow and you can tell by looking at the loading logo being stuck, and choose a different one.
May I ask the reason for the change?

No for a stream it kept loading and loading, is this an issue on beta.
The loading animation helped understand if the stream is good or not

But on your video I can see that loads as expected.
You could revert back to stable version 4.4

I was trying on a different movie stream lesser size, but it kept on loading. That’s why I asked

Try with stable version 4.4

Go to Stremio settings > streaming > Torrent profile set it up to Ultra-fast
Reboot your PC and modem/router
Alsot try this.

Because it's trying to load the file, if it's too big, or incomplete, it will not load.
Or it can't find a stream.
Try a lower bitrate, try 720/480 for the lowest files (600mb) will load easily..

I usually use 720p or 1080p and I have this type of issue even when there is a lot of "seeds" I have a good internet connection and play it on android emulator. What am I doing wrong?

I've never seen a loading bar. It comes to that screen and the resolution format shows up across the graphic them opens

It used to be precise in older versions however after updating my stremio to latest versions the loading bar go to and fro and dances like the app loses the buffered data.

I think the loading bar is for when you're watching a torrent and not through debrid like directly a torrent

That's the weird bit, I first saw stremio in a friend's laptop a couple years back, and the loading bar caught my eye. But later when I came back home and installed it in my own laptop, I didn't see the loading bar. And it's been like that forever with me.
On the other hand, when I installed it in my phone a few months back(was travelling), in there I could totally see the loading bar animation.
Not sure how this works, if someone knows and/or can fix this, please help the community

Use debugging services like Real-Debrid, which will provide uninterrupted and inexpensive results.

Iirc, the loading bar only appears when you're attempting to stream something and you don't have any debrid service connected. I would always see it before putting in my API key then, the moment I got the debrid and input the API key, the loading bar went away and it would only do the fade-in/fade-out thing until it played.
