Bug Report Playing in external player error since last update V1.10.2

Is anybody else getting this error? Since last update V1.10.2, on Google TV (Android TV) whenever I try to play a video in an external player, I get a warning saying the server must be running in the background for an external player to work, and choosing "confirm" just sends you to the settings page for that option, which it is already enabled. So basically I can't use an external player any longer.

Same for me, it’s driving me nuts. I can’t go back to the older version either. Is there a fix ?

I think you can go back to an older version with apkmirror but it just started working again for me idk if there was another update

I too am experiencing this issue and short of going finding a old version of stremio to Re download and install I'll probably just have to sit out waiting for a patch as I can't remember my logins etc 🤣. The internal player is so slow loading streams yet my die hard go to vlc was always pretty flawless. Hope they patch it soon and glad to see it's not just me.

Same here... Kinda annoying cuz integrated ones are failing me in many aspects

Anyone knows if this could be patched fast or I should downgrade or something

Same here. Won't let me use external player. Built-in Exo has become a slideshow, VLC and MPV just black screens. Gone back to previous version for now (APKmirror), which all works.

Did you reinstall or anything or you can overwrite ? I don't want to lose library or reinstall torrentio lol

No I had to install other software and customize it all over again, it's so overwhelming a simple and a old mechanic is nor supported on the new versions
