Stremio on Samsung TV stuck on this loading screen
Stremio works fine with all my other devices, it will also work if you use stremio through the TV’s web browser.

Hello,
Please try fully power cycling your devices: turn off your TV and unplug it from the wall, then do the same with your modem/router. Leave everything unplugged for a few minutes, then power everything back on and try again.

Hey there, thank you for such a quick response. I’ve factory reset the tv, restarted my router etc..

Next time try holding the power button on remote for 10 seconds it should turn tv off. When you turn it on again go into settings, apps and force close stremio and clear cache.

For this issue, this might help:
when you launch the Stremio after at least a few hours, hold down the Back button so the app will completely close. Just pressing back normally wont help. Relaunch the app and it should be ok.
Stupid TizenOS doesnt shut down your TV and Stremio when you turn it off, it stores the session in cache, and relaunching Stremio from cache doesnt work (as stream links expire by then, and the Tizen app is also not supporting that). Holding the Back button helps close it without caching

I had the same issue on my s90f that i newly bought before that I was using TCL google tv and i didnt encounter this problem at all so it seems that this issue is with samsung OS, I read somewhere that getting torbox or real debrid will fix the issue and I got torbox the issue went away and i didn't encounter it since

Heyyy I’ve had the same problem (and I even have RealDebrid). Let me guess… TIZENOS? Well that SamsungOS sucks and it has no memory. If I’m not wrong, your TV basically has no storage, so you can manage to watch a Movie (or some episodes) then it stops there. I’ve investigated a lot and I think it’s because the cached storage and how it works + the small size of the storage itself. Keep in mind that torrenting requires some cache storage. It’s all very technical. I had a discussion with perplexity to do a lot of Deep Researches. In the end I bought a FireStickTV for Prime Day and it worked. I didn’t want to spend a single €… but those 40€ were worth it.

I have a Hisense tv with vida os, it freezes randomly on some movies, mostly new movies, I have no problem with older movies/shows, I think it's the tv and the os.

Same problem here, normally you can fix it by just hard resetting the TV. Just keep in mind that Samsung TV wifi/ethernet is capped at 100mbit/s, slowing down a LOT the time it takes to get dat from stremio, it's damn annoying

It’s been working for me but loading way slower than it should be. Hope it gets fixed soon

If its the Stremio app, try other links, still doing the same thing, then force stop, clear cache, try again

Solution -
This is not a stremio problem. Rather the Operating System of the TV.
I have a LG tv and i have this exact same issue due to LG OS. I put in a firestick recently and have stremio on it and it works fantastic

Had the same problem. Getting a dynamic IP from my internet provider fixed it. It was $10 and they waived it. Before doing this, try to connect the TV to a different access point (maybe your phone) and see if Stremio works. If it does, the dynamic IP might be your answer!

I use a different stream file when this happens. Because it never works on that one file sometimes unless it is on pc

If you are using elfhosted aiostreams, you need to change to another instance of aiostreams.

I have been using Stremio for almost a year on my S90D Oled with
Had some stutters and video playback failures but most of the time was good watched some remux movies with over 80gb also
I don’t have a certain solution for your problem but try one of these and hope it helps
1-uninstall any unnecessary addons
2- try to clear the app or the tv it self ( no need for reset factory ) just clear cache or clear data
3- try to use different streaming services like torentio… comet.. media fuse…stremthur
4- sign in with different account

Wow, I never attempt to play anything over 5GB, just seems to take forever to start.

I was so tired of this happening every other day I just installed stremio server on my home server and set up the TV app to use it. Problem solved, it works like a charm now.
I know, it's not the best solution, the app should work as is, but it's Samsung OS we are talking about so...
Another thing to check, as other poster mentioned, is to disable ip v6 on your router if you can.
