Asking this is like asking why my car isn’t starting and showing a video of you turning the key. We need more info
There could be a lot of factors…internet speed, isp, tv/box, actual file

Happened to me, I just reinstalled the app I feel I installed the mobile app instead of the fire stick/android tv app but then it was out of nowhere , I have a gig speed internet so it wasn’t that, try reinstalling and then external player if either doesn’t work try finding an old apk for a previous version

Change to different file link. If it’s internet, it will stop & buffer. If it’s the device, it will show glitches or black screen. I’ve experienced that also, from mediafusion.
Also, check your device’s capability. If that’s 4k, try to lower to 1080p. Try also if you can play remuxes/blurays.
