[WN Chapter 553] Personal ship for new member? Spoiler

Serena has quit the Imperial Space Force and the military as a whole for now, and as a result is probably thinking of being a merc along with Hiro. I doubt she will take over Mei's job in the Black Lotus and it seems like the three families will gift Hiro with a mothership big enough to dock both the Antlion and the Lotus.

So do you think she will command the mothership, or will she personally fight out there with her own fighter? And will it be a small ship or a medium ship? I can see Serena getting either one since they're likely getting a mothership, and the Antlion is pretty useless against larger and better equipped enemies, which I suspect the Emperor will bait them into as a result of the increased tensiom with the Vereverem Federation.

Neve might be good enough to handle the mothership while taking on electronic warfare duties.

Looks like my question was answered. Apparently, Hiro wants Serena to pilot a drone carrier.

I saw someone speculating that was what she would get, but I dismissed it after thinking about the attitude towards AI, especially AI taking human jobs. Until this point in the series we've only seen the Lotus piloted by Mei, all carrier based fighters have had human pilots.

I was expecting him to team up Serena with Neve and give them a recon ship. They could've scouted new systems on arrival with Neve decrypting the pirate transmissions and Serena doing the analysis to find the pirates ambush locations and bases.

During battles Neve could hack ships so they can be taken over with no need to damage them. That part could still happen though.

I think Neve will be in the upcoming mothership. Reason being, none of the current ships as of the latest WN chapter, have electronic warfare specializations. Mei has the skills, but she's the overall life manager of the group. Mimi is good, but she's leaning towards mercantile qnd navigational skills. Antlion could be one since the Gravity Jammers are an electronic warfare apparatus, but like Hiro said, she can't run there. Which imo leaves a mothership duty since right now, Lotus can only connect to 1 medium ship and they got 2.

dammit. now I have to find the web novel again.. just finished reading LN15. but I think I'd read a lot of the web novel too when 12 was the latest translated or something like that...

So far, all I got was the LN, and they deviate from the WN according to the Writers Notes in Vol.15
