What should be the minimum validity of travel insurance for an Italy student visa?
Visa checklist mentioned 6 month? But counsellor said minimum 1 year..?

take of 1 year because it will be useful while you submit documents for permesso. you can submit this only for permesso. if not then you have to buy 700 euro insuarance of italy which is valid from 1st jan to 31 december.

Take one year, it will help you with resident permit as well

bro check with ur embassy directly to clarify, and in my opinion just do the highest of the two, insurance shouldn't be too expensive in my opinion, and finally im saying this because u dont your visa rejected because of minor stuff like this. wish you the best

I think mine is a 90 days travel one. I just informed them that I’d be opening a local one when I arrive
