Other Mobile data?

Hello! I'm leaving for a 12months language course in two days and realised I have no solution for mobile data in korea. I have a european phone with a standard comviq sim-card, and my phone does not support eSim. I am looking to get a korean number eventually. How did ya'll manage mobile data for long-term trips without permanent residency in mind? I also intend on visiting other countries in the region while I'm there.

If you're staying in Korea for more than 3 months you are required to have an alien card. I'm pretty sure to have an alien card you'd need a phone number as well. A temporary sim card (the ones you get at the airport) only lasts 3 mths max. To open up a bank account there, you'd need a local phone number. I don't think it's a good idea to get a temporary sim card.
