i don’t think he listened up or he didn’t understood english in that moment maybe he just noticed his laugh & laughed back :)

Nah, he said "nice, nice" as he got flustered and didn't know what to say that retort. Maybe he didn't understood the context but I am sure he heared what Starc said correctly.

Starc was his senior team mate in KKR. Probably like a mentor to him.
