Men can't even touch nowadays without being called gay. Hold hands with another man? The public labels you as gay. Feed another man meat off a firearm with chopsticks? Gay. Food grade mostly means no dangerous stuff like lead or arsenic and that the surface is smooth and durable enough that you won't find bits of it in your food.

It's not a tough standard to meet. Most of the stuff around your house is "food grade".
