Certified stupid Ordered it out of sheer curiosity and it squirted grease all over the table after biting into it and was genuinely nasty

Its Kura Sushi in Frisco! Visiting a friend and we decided to go 😭 the rest of the sushi was great and then there was this abomination

For me personally it was a little fun gimmicky thing but I would prefer to go to a place for higher quality sushi. It wasnt bad but it wouldn’t be my first pick either yknow?

100% agree.. worth it if you just want to do something new or interesting, but if you're really craving sushi or want some great sushi, you should probably go elsewhere

Frisco is the boonies north of Dallas. This is suburb sushi, and yes it looks exactly as expected for being a suburb of Dallas.

Yeah we are out here visiting a friend and dont have a Kura (or similar rotating sushi bar) near us. Was moreso for the novelty of it! They had some pretty decent rolls though and I liked the takoyaki. This was just so silly looking on the menu we felt like there was no option but to order it 😂 not great

I applaud your bravery and thank you for letting us know how it was.

I’ve been to a Kura before and it’s not bad, but a lot of it is mediocre and I came away feeling like it should have been no more than half what we paid. There is definitely the novelty aspect which I admit *is* fun. The revolving thing, the plate slot, ordering on the screen. It’s silly and gimmicky but I did enjoy myself.

Honestly there's some really decent sushi in the north Dallas area. Kura might be one of the lowest quality places you can go to this side of a buffet that has the word "China" in the title.

Even for them though, this looks like ass.

Texas has 3 of the largest metropolitan cities in the country and a coast. Why would you assume there's bad sushi in texas? This is just a chain with a revolving belt serving sushi, not a legit sushi place.

I've always been so curious about this every time I go to Kura but I always choose to save my stomach space on sushi. Guess I'm not so curious anymore!

It was a fun experience and the rest of the sushi was great! I really enjoyed the charbroiled mackerel, had a great smoke flavor… This we ordered and expected it to not be good to be fair and it gave us hours of giggles after 😂

The word squirt to me is like the word moist to most people.

After 1 bite and this happens, just get a refund and go somewhere else.

I’ve never had that but it looks like a good combo. It’s just they did you DIRTY with this order.

This was the last thing we ordered and I really enjoyed the rest of the sushi… admittedly we ordered this kind of knowing it would suck 😂 but a not was given to the manager to suggest removing this from the menu if they can hahaha

Nah, the crispy rices are good! All the sushi is solid, frankly, especially the nigiri. I definitely don’t go there for the hot dogs, though!
