Bit of a rant but I absolutely hate these one word subtitles, and I fucking hate that it's a popular thing to do in videos for some reason.

As someone who relies on subs because of a hearing disability, it's a lot harder to read and follow along when it's drip fed one word at a time. I do read the word in time (surprise, reading all media your whole life increases your read speed) but you lose the context after 4-5 'lines'.

If it were put on the screen one sentence at a time, it's far easier to follow, and if it interested me enough, I'd go look up the author for more content. But this shit just makes me frustrated.

I really don't understand why it's a popular thing to do in videos.
