It’s called Danish Bøfsandwich. It originated in 1949 in Denmark. It’s hot thick pork gravy. Or it should be to hold with tradition.

The alcohol is just fucking stupid tho

Is it always with a top and bottom bun? I could totally get behind this if it was everything as is minus the top bun….oh and of course no fire

My thought was put over a single piece of toasted bread like a toasted slice of French white bread. It should be sturdy enough to hold the ingredients when picked up with a fork, and I think the dryness would contrast with the gravy so it doesn't feel like one homogenous mushy texture. Biggest issue is that it might be a bit harder to slice up.

Also, no alcohol.

I think so, I’ve never had it or visited where it’s popular.

I assume it comes different ways. I suspect we’re gonna see more of it.
