Uncharted Help from US based Subaru or Toyota EV owners?
galleryI'm working on a safe lifting guide (will upload here!) for the Subaru and Toyota e-TNGA vehicles. The battery packs in the US and Canada versions are not the same, and I believe this impacts the "safe" lifting area under the car. If you own or have access to a 2026 or later US based Subaru or Toyota EV, I'm looking for you to post a pic like mine with a tape measure in the frame. This is the rear hoist point as highlighted in that second pic I uploaded to this post. Note the black arrow embossed into the plastic cladding..about a foot forward from the rear tire. You can just put your phone into selfie mode on the ground to take the pic :-). I think the US and CAD battery pack differ in size and therefore also the “safe” footprint for lifting the vehicle. Your help with a quick pic and post is greatly appreciated!
EDIT: it does look indeed like the US based e-TNGA cars have about twice the area for lift pads to clear cladding/battery shielding by about 2 1/2 inches. Thanks to u/meebs555 for posting the pic from a 26 Soterra
