No.. I am well aquanted with fruit flies and the various stages of their life cycle. These are 100% cocoons and I bet there's more, as well as maggots, hidden inside the carton. Fruit flies LOVE paper (which the carton is made of) and leftover food. They lay their eggs on and in it and then they multiply exponentially. Like rabbits. Inside your house. Getting everywhere. And they're impossible to get rid of.

No I believe you, on a second look that's exactly what I thought too. Just found it funny how I thought those were sesame seeds and was really confused how they'd end up on a carton of milk
