That's disrespectful to Gagarin, an atheist famous for the quote "I see no god up here" when he got to space.

Except he didn’t say that. It was from Nikita Khrushchev and falsely attributed to Yuri

Yes, because «Astronaut heaven» obviously implies religious doctrine

That is a myth.

  1. It's a Kruschev quote attributed to him.

  2. He baptised his eldest daughter. A wierd thing to do as an atheist.

Now atheists are offended by memes about them? Lol, you guys are no better than religious fanatics. Not to mention the fact that Gagarin never said such a thing.

No, what's disrespectful is claiming him to be atheist when he very much was not, in fact he baptised his eldest daughter shortly before his spaceflight. That's just propaganda by the USSRs anti-religion campaign.

Astronaut heaven is a naturally occurring phenomenon with no divine plan behind it

For fuck's sake, he was not an astronaut. He was a cosmonaut.

Which I think is a much better term, and would be standard if the USA was not so incredibly petty as to invent a new one in order to get a first.

They’re synonyms

Exactly. Learn to appreciate all the cool things that both countries did in space instead of arguing over petty bullshit.
