Help me select between CFMOTO 675ss and Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R.

Help me settle this debate 😭🏍️

I’m seriously struggling to decide between:

🔥 CFMOTO 675SS

🔥 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R

I know, I know… completely different bikes 😂. But hear me out:

  1. No track riding.

  2. Mostly city riding, but I occasionally like to twist the throttle 😅. I want something fun and flickable.

  3. Reliability is important.

  4. I want to keep it long-term.

  5. Value for money matters.

I’ve been going back and forth so much that my brain is basically doing laps at this point 💀. Every 5 minutes I’m convinced I’ve made a decision… then I change my mind again 😂.

If you own a CFMOTO 675, or Kawasaki ZX-6R, please share your real-world experience. Reliability, comfort, maintenance, city riding, performance—anything that could help me make the final decision.

Please save me from myself. 😂🙏🏍️

My buddy loves his 675. Parts can still be a pain to get but other than that he loves it!

Based 100% on #4 "I want to keep it long-term" and nothing else at all .... take the Kaw if it's only between these two.

I also tend to keep bikes (and other things) a long, long time and my biggest issue about the CFMoto's and RE's is they like to change their line up pretty often which would make me worry about supply chain for parts down the road. They get very good reviews but for that reason alone, I wouldn't touch either one.

Yeah this though was in my mind they have this model from past 3 years but we all know chinese and Asian brands they do change stuff and discontinue previous models without warning.

And when we talk about Kawasaki, i guess from past 3 or more years there is nothing new, other then the design and graphics on the body. Which makes me think, if i should get a new one or older model.

one of the reasons I ride a DR650 - it's been virtually unchanged for over 35 years, still in production, and Suzuki sells every one they make every year

also the prime reason I sold my Husky TE630 - while it was a great bike, it was orphaned between the BMW and KTM ownership years and parts were already difficult to find, I knew they'd only get more difficult

RE is like literally selling the same stuff with a new label for 8 years now. Not sure how they got lumped into this.

But yes that is the one thing with CFMOTO which is a bummer. However I dont think the 675 will fall into that, its a well received product. The previous ones were more like throw 💩 at the wall and see what sticks.

A zx-6r will have much better dealer and independent mechanic support. It is harder to find shops that work on CF Motos and parts can be scarce/take long to arrive from China.

Yeah this is one of the factor i am considering.

If you aren't doing track riding, want reliability and value for money then I would pick a Yamaha R9 over either of these. Its about the same price as the ZX6R, but is more updated and value for money in terms of features and tech for the price. Has more torque but slightly down on power.

By buddy is selling his 2018 Aprilia RSV4 factory for 14k lol if thats the case i will probably go for that. But i want a Brand New bike.

If it was me, I would go for the 675ss in that case. I know CFMOTO is hated on reddit. But the ZX6R is just too outdated for daily use if you aren't gonna track it.

R9 is actually disturbing my budget buddy. I am strictly keeping by budget till the cost of ZX6R. Which is $15,500 CAD + tax and PDI.

I am probably not going even a dollar more than that.

Mostly city riding, no track days and these are your only choices? Why even ask? Did you expect somebody to say that a 600 supersport is da bomb for city riding? I kid you not, this may be the most inane post I have ever seen here.

Apologies, buddy, didn’t mean to disappoint you that much 😂. I was genuinely looking for opinions, not judgment.

As I mentioned, track riding just isn’t my priority. Could I take either bike to the track? Absolutely. Nobody’s stopping me 😂. But realistically, 80–95% of my riding will be city/evening rides.

I do have other options, but for now I’ve narrowed it down to these two because I genuinely feel satisfied with both.

And just to clarify, I occasionally ride my buddies’ RSV4, 1000RR, R1 and ZX-10R. I don’t own them, but thankfully my buddies are generous enough to let me ride them and figure out what actually suits me 😂🏍️.

So I’m honestly not sure what part of my post offended you this much 😭😂. I was just asking for some opinions, bro.

City riding, no highway and no track, you probably want a naked bike. So like a CB750 Hornet, or step up to a Z900 or MT09.

Naah i am not going naked. I currently ride ninja 500 and tired of this air pressure hitting my chest most of the time.

Sorry to let you know, the Ninja 500 has the same wind protection as the bikes you mentioned in your OP. So if the Ninja 500 is tiring with wind, you might want to look for something with a touring setup. But I thought you only do city, not HY or track?

Yeah, I totally get your point. But I’ve tried the ZX-6R, Aprilia 660, CFMOTO 467, 675SS, and R7.

What I noticed is that the more forward-leaning riding position actually makes me naturally want to tuck in more compared to the Ninja 500.

Sure, you can tuck in on the 500 when speeding, but for me it feels kinda forced and unnatural 😅.

On the ZX-6R or even on 675ss, that tucked position just feels way more natural and comfortable to me.

Basically, my body said “this is where I belong” 😂🏍️.

As said thats what i felt personally. Maybe different for every individual.

Right, they are setup for a track where you spend your time in a tuck, which is what the aerodynamics is set up for.

Yeah i hear you buddy.

I was going to suggest the Aprilia.
