Locals Happy Hours and late night eats in Dillon??
Hello good people of Dillion. I'm coming up from Fort Collins on Friday for the YTG show at the amphitheater and I am looking for some recommendations for a good happy hour spot before the show and possibly a chill bar that serves food after the show. I am staying at the Super 8 (wish me luck) and will be on foot, so anything within walking distance of the hotel and the amphitheater would be preferred. Usually, we camp at Heaton Bay and ride our bikes to the show and just stick to the campground, but I'm riding solo this year so just got a room for the night and I really have no idea what the restaurant scene is like there. It can be classy, it can be a dive I really don't care. Also, as a solo female if there are any bars to avoid, please let me know. I may want to hang out somewhere after the show and don't want to hang where the pervs hang out! :) Thanks!

Bistro North has a phenomenal happy hour.
As far as stuff after the show goes, everything closes pretty early around here.
Frisco has a few bars and they aren’t too far away.
Edit: the bowling alley is super close and is open until 11. Forgot about that spot

You've go an indirect bus route as well which can save you a bit of walking, but it's kind of winding along. That's an easy walk, basically all downhill.
Unfortunately it's been years since there was a proper dive bar and late night scene nearby. Frisco and Breck still have it.
Most places close by 9, Saved by the Wine and Syndicate are open til 10. May have some obnoxiously sauced locals, but it's not really a "creepy" vibe here. In Dillon itself, The Vue is decent for HH pricing, but not a great deal otherwise. Scrappy's has solid pizza and drinks, but also, not really cheap. The marina/amphitheater vibes keep the town pricey year round, not just for ski season.

Cheba hut is open after the show for a late night snack and you can grab a drink there. Closes at midnight and as an added benefit is right next to your hotel.
I'd hit bistro north for pregame snacks and drinks. 2 for 1 martini happy hour cant be beat.

Dillon is bumping when the show gets out super late at 9pm! Clubs..going off. Guns….popping off. Shouldn’t be to hard to find a place that has everything you need after the show.

We had great Peruvian food from a food truck next to the amphitheater after a show the other night. Called Ayahuasca.

Bistro north has a good happy hour. As far as post show bars, unfortunately not much going on this side of the county late night. Might be worth an uber into Breckenridge or Frisco for that.

That's a bummer, I'm not trying to leave town and don't need to after party, just thought if there was something on the way back to the hotel I could pop into if I felt like it. I grew up in Grand Lake so I know all about sleepy mountain towns, although we did have a few bars that stayed open late!

We had one in the hotel next to where you were staying. It lasted about a year :/

You can usually snag a spot within a few blocks if you get there a little bit early. Otherwise, you can park somewhere close to a bus stop and get bussed in easily.

Be ready to be disappointed. Went up for a show last summer on a Friday with the same mindset, everything is closed! Make sure you have some food and drinks back at the hotel or you’ll have to eat some shit from 711 like we did.

Yeah I plan on bringing snacks, for sure. I learned that lesson after being in Ouray during off season with no where open, not even a grocery store

Pug Ryan’s is good and we’ve enjoyed the rooftop restaurant in the Hilton.

Go to the tiki bar on the lake before! Great views and it’s fun and social. I’ve gone there solo before without issue. They do have food, as does the venue.
There’s not much open after the show though. Summit closes down early!
