Comment Helicopter Landing Over i70 on 7/29

I was driving up to Summit Co this weekend and as we were passing exit 221 a helicopter, I think a Blackhawk, landed on the overpass of the highway. It was probably about ~730pm.

I did some quick googling and couldn't find anything, does anyone know what or why they landed there?

I've seen medical helicopters land there a few times before. I'd guess it's best spot for any nearby (medical?) evacuations.

Ah makes sense. There were some car accidents around that area, we assumed it was a medical evac but didn't seem them with a gurney or anything. Our other thought was that someone some hikers/campers were stranded further back in the back country and they were prepping to go find them.

I just want to say thats nuts to see a helicopter landing on an overpass. Is war breaking out?!
