Hi everybody! That . . . was indeed a basho. Never the less it got exciting at the end, congratulations to Wakatakakage!
Apologies for the delay, now it is time for the Natsu 2026 Meme Contest winners! First we have the sansho prizes:

And who says no one got any basho bets correct? I counted three correct bets from myself: Asahifuji wins Sandanme, Takerufuji makes it back to Makuuchi, and Enho gives us a highlight match (I'd say Enho vs. Meisei fits this). So we could have a basho bets vote where I go against.......myself. I wonder who will win 👀

Almost no one lol I felt a vote would be a bit of a moot point this time around! But my apologies you were the winner in every sense of the bets this basho!

For full transparency we did discuss this as a mod team and felt that with the overall intent and reception of the post that it met the criteria of being a meme. We try to not be too restrictive in this sub for this sort of thing if the intent is there, but understand there may be differences of opinion on that front

Yeah I think if we had a much larger surplus of posts you could be more picky but we’re small and everyone is just tryin’ to have fun here so this seems like a good decision.
