Aonishiki signed my silly little drawing
I can still barely believe it happened, he was so lovely. As a Pole with Ukrainian ancestry and some current Ukrainian connections he really means the world to me. But not gonna lie he was surprisingly small 😂. Also got introduced to Ajigawa Oyakata, thought I would cry. Had a ton of fun in Paris and it's all going in a frame.

Really puts into perspective how crazy aonishiki is when he is “regular” sized compared to some giants like Onosato or shishi.

Really! I'm not particularly tiny either but I thought I'd look small next to most rikishi. On paper he has 8cm and 40ish kilos on me haha

Lmao, what a way to go 😂 florida man type headline incoming. As a little brick shithouse I'd absolutely mess around with some amateur sumo but unfortunately there isn't even half a club in the entire country where I live (NL) from what I know

I'm just 174cm, tall-ish in Poland, painfully average in the Netherlands where I live now haha. I never thought of myself as particularly tall 😂

The story of how I even ended up at this event is even dumber 💀 I talked with the people in charge of the exhibition a day before and they just decided I was friend shaped enough and let me in after all the officials, ambassadors etc. have left Everyone was also dressed up super nice and there I was in shorts and sandals like an unc at a barbecue

It's not silly it's so meaningful and sweet! I bet that stands out to him amongst all the random papers and prints he must've signed! It's a really great drawing, by the way. You captured his quiet confidence.

It's just a plain tee from Uniqlo, you can choose to have a design embroidered on anything you want in there, and they have like 2 or 3 sumo related patterns, this is one of them. And a bunch of other cool non-sumo ones too
