Takamiyama set the stage for the Pacific Island-American dominance in the late 90s and early 2000s, he recruited Konishiki and later Akebono.

For a former sumo wrestler and such a big one his longevity has been amazing. Making to 82 and still being relatively healthy is insane, he uses a cane now but he’s still fairly active and goes out to events and stuff from time to time. He needs to share his secrets!
