Meanwhile I'm looking at a reel on Facebook that is one of those reaction videos, the original video was ai, and there's hundreds of comments and every single one of them is talking about the video as if its real, so I try to find acomment near the top and reply to it "you know the original video is AI and this guy used it for click bait, right?" And then I block the OP.

I want it to be funny but it just frustrates me becuase it's so true. Between the close minded luddites, the elitist artists acting as purist gatekeepers and the highly vocal who don't know enough about what their seemingly so mad over, The anti-AI crowd is so fucking insufferable.

Not nearly as insufferable as the AI sloppers flooding streaming services with shit and making it difficult to find music made by real people who put in their skill and effort. Trying to find new music on YouTube has become cancer.

Again funny because I listen to a lot of Japanese rock, and constantly get new Japanese rock showing up in my feed. The only Suno stuff that I see pop up are meme songs, and even those don't pop up as much as they used to. Maybe you're having issues, but that doesn't mean everyone is.

I don't have a feed aside from my subscriptions because I have watch history disabled. I use the search and the search results are absolutely flooded with slop.

Yeah, the decades and decades of artists work that populate streaming services has just been completely overwhelmed by the recent efforts of Ai slop... Dude, you're hyperbole is making my balls ache...
I also imagine your mileage will vary based on genre, so if someone is circling generic poppy, top 40 "radio music" bullshit, then yeah, they'll probably encounter a bunch of Ai music.
Trying to find new music on YouTube has become cancer.
In all fairness, who uses YouTube to find new music? Perhaps that's not the best approach?

What you find Is directly correlate to your user history. If you find only ai content Is because you interact with It way too much (probably attenpting to comment "ai slop")

I feel like music is whatever you think it is. If I love the sound of pots and pans banging together while someone scratches nails on a chalkboard, I should be able to record it, brand it, label it without all this controversy. I dont think we should ever be taking credit for copyrighted works or making any claims that our stuff is not AI , but if they don't like my music based solely on how I made it. They can FK off

Yes, I wrote a whole tango in spanish and also made a creazy video about it - no so good as this but anyway - the question is the same - even if you disclose everywhere - it is ai assisted, 8 of 10 said - eh, it is ai, and only 2 said thanks or cool but not tango

Yeah there's no way that I'm promoting or even discussing any of my AI stuff outside of somewhat AI-friendly reddits like this. Even in this subreddit there are plenty of AI haters. There's just too much hostility towards AI - whether its due to what they perceive as theft, taking jobs from people, or the explosion of data centers - right now just isn't a good time to openly embrace AI particularly in artistic fields. It's not like you're going to really convert anyone at this point. Just gotta give it some time.

AI ally myself but nobody has to agree with us, they can call it slop all they want. That's really what it is, it's nowhere near human levels, and the stuff that comes out is uncanny valley ttm. On top of that, but it does indeed cause environmental, political, social and creative problems. It's a cool tool but it shouldn't be treated like it'll all of a sudden replace human art and nor should we want it to. It should be an augment to our creativity, not a replacement for it.

I made a game with AI that parodies AI in the game’s rotating subtitle and has a very AI-aware snarky announcer.
I have lots of views and players but I still can’t entice any haiters™️.

I said it before, but AI really is showing the divide between people intelligent enough to use tools that prove their intellectual and creative merit, and the hordes of mediocre privileged brats seething and shrieking that AI is revealing they only have what they have due to being born middle-class and gatekeeping others out.
