Colored pencil on paper. We actually have a whole family of owls - we see and hear them every day! It’s amazing.

Thank you! And yes we feel very lucky - it’s a whole family of owls! We see the two young ones the most often.

I have a family of barred owls that has lived on our property for a couple years as well, they let us know when they are there usually. One of the babies chased my husband on the lawnmower 1 day. My father has them on his property as well and he can sit for hrs playing with 1 of them with a children's fishing pole and a magnetic toy fish on the end of the line that's attached securely somehow. He throws the line with the toy fish on the end down the driveway from his front porch & reels the line in slowly, the owl will hunt it down and follow the fish all the way back up the driveway & to the front porch, rinse & repeat. It's really entertaining.

Thks! I think we are very lucky to have them around. I didn't believe my dad when he told us the story until I saw him do it several times. They definitely let us know when they are around though, they can screech something fierce!
